Unda - An entertaining,sympathetic and realistic take on Policemen around us

A well made tale about a group of policemen sent on election duty to severely maoist affected Chathisgarh area! Mammootty as S.I Mani leading the troop is one of his most likeable , vulnerable and realistic character in recent times in Malayalam! Credit to the director for giving ample space and importance to most of the other co-actors ,and they do perform very well to keep us glued throughout the film! Khalid Rahman goes a step further up from his directorial debut in Anuraga Karikkinvellam and should essentially cement his spot as one of most sought after director now! The way he has presented this film is really top class! Prasant Pillai's music as always is Kickass and adds lots of feel to the proceedings! Hope we can see many more new gen directors/scriptwriters giving such well developed characters for Mammookka and utilise the actor in him in best possible manners!

Expect a very realistic & engaging film with many light moments about policemen whom we can see around us! Note that there's very little importance for mass sequences as seen in the cliched brainless commercial potboilers !! It is not your typical police story with loads of focus on showcasing heroism of the lead actor! More importantly,this is a proper content driven film told in the most realistic manner and if you love good films,this is made just for you!! So why wait, go grab the tickets ASAP and witness the best actor in business along with his fantastic brigade!!
