Surya TV purchased Kunchacko Boban's upcoming thriller film ''ANJAAM PATHIRAA'' for a whopping amount
Kunchacko Boban plays Anwar Hussain, a criminologist in Midhun Manuel Thomas’ Anjaam Pathira
After playing a rugged police officer in Allu Ramendran and a serious scientist in Virus, actor Kunchacko Boban is all set to play a criminologist in Midhun Manuel Thomas’ Anjaam Pathira. The crime thriller will see him as Anwar Hussain, a consultant criminologist, who is part of a team that investigates a serial killing case.
About his character and working with Midhun, the actor tells us, “Like every psychologist, he also goes through mental stress after treating patients. He has a wife and a child, and his mental stress affects his married life as well. Nevertheless, we aren't focusing much on his personal life in the film.”
Kunchacko says that the film is an out and out crime thriller. “It is an engaging tale and as the name suggests, it has more nights than days. Anwar Hussain is quite a challenging character as well,” he explains. To prepare for the role, the actor reveals he is in touch with one of his friends, who is a doctor and runs an autism and adult psychiatry clinic in Sharjah. “We discuss his case studies and as he is my friend, I could pick up a few elements from him for the role too. Moreover, Midhun is a director who gives us an open working atmosphere. He gives us a lot of freedom and asks to suggest additions, after narration. If he finds what we suggested improves the sequence, he will happily incorporate it,” says the actor.
Kunchacko’s other upcoming films include Kamal KM’s Pada and the next directorials of John Paul and Jismon Joy.
