Pinne in terms of trolls and mocking, Mammootty is affected much more than Lal. It is difficult to troll Lal so easily.. In comparison... That's because he doesn't give that many opportunities. He's a safe player. Esp after Antony has tightened his grasp. Doesn't try much what he cannot. The weakness in his acting sides are never tried again. Don't want to try variations in voice acting. Don't want to try various body languages. Don't want to try out enacting another personality on screen which is not a version of himself. Don't want to try roles with depth anymore. Don't want to try anything that is not tried 200 times earlier. Why to try? The claps will keep on coming. It's the claps from nostalgia. The actor who was. The acts which had been. The graph that soared up to perceived completeness years earlier had long been straightened, Flat and bland. Still its the familiar face, familiar actions, familiar mannerisms. The claps will continue. Money will pile up. Fans will continue to rejoice. Yes, and it's difficult to troll or mock too much. Because unlike mammootty who still tries to do what he has not done earlier.. Faltering on some and winning on some.. Lal does nothing worthwhile as an actor, given the talent and position he has.. And that is what most fans don't care for. Yes they simply don't care as u said. Not about anyone else and not about Mammootty . Bcos Lal has bought 100s of crores again and again. and Good for him, good for the producers, good for the fans, good for the industry.. Industry... Not art.
Being such a talent house once upon a time, sometimes wish he had given a bit of that back to the craft in ways only he could have done.
Until he tries that, it's hard to troll him or laugh at him like people do to Mammootty... Mammootty fans wanting to do that can dream on and hope that Lal tries a diction that he has not done or tries to enact a known personality without his own mannerisms, or tries to play an act that is his weakness... Best of luck.. Hope he and his fans come out of the completeness they have assigned to themselves.

हिंदी सिनेमा में इन दिनों मुगलों से मुकाबला करने वाले भारतीय राजाओं की कहानियां खूब बन रही हैं। पद्मावत, तानाजी और पृथ्वीराज जैसी फिल्मों के बाद मुगलों का क्रूर चेहरा फिर से आम जनता को दिखाने की ये लहर केरल पहुंची है फिल्म मामगम के तौर पर। दुबई में केरल के लोगों ने खूब पैसा कमाया है। वेणु कुन्नाप्पिली भी ऐसे ही एक कारोबारी हैं जिन्हें फिल्म बाहुबली देखने के बाद ऐसी ही एक देसी कहानी पर फिल्म बनाने का विचार आया। केरल में कुंभ जैसा मेला करने वाला एक हिंदू राजा का जब पूरा खानदान धर्म परिवर्तन कर मुस्लिम बन गया तो वहां की गद्दी पर बैठे मुस्लिम शासक को मारने के लिए कसम खाने वाले आत्मघाती दस्ते की कहानी है मामगम। माममग को जो भी चर्चा अब तक मिली है वह है इसके हीरो मोहम्मद कुट्टी पनिपराम्बिल इस्माल यानी ममूटी के कारण या फिर पंजाबी सिनेमा की अभिनेत्री प्राची तहलन की खुद अपनी कोशिशों के चलते। ममूटी सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनय के तीन राष्ट्रीय और दर्जनों दूसरे पुरस्कार जीत चुके हैं। उम्र उनकी 68 वर्ष की हो चुकी है और परदे पर दिखने भी लगी है। ये कहानी है चवेरुकल दस्तों की। ये आत्मघाती दस्ते किसी भी तरह जमोरिन राजा को मारकर अपनी धरती वापस पाना चाहते हैं। ये सारे दस्ते वल्लुवांडु में रहने वाले चंद्रोथ परिवार के हैं और सीनियर चंद्रोथ यानी पेनिकर अपने लक्ष्य को पाने से बस रत्ती भर दूर रह जाता है। वर्ष बीतते हैं। अब उसके दो बेटों पर अपने पिता के अधूरे लक्ष्य को पूरा करने की जिम्मेदारी है।
मामगम को लेकर बना हिंदी पट्टी में वैसे भी कोई खास उत्सुकता नहीं रही है। ऊपर से फिल्म शुरू होते ही ये ऐलान कर देती है कि इससे किसी इतिहास के पाठ की उम्मीद न पालें। फिल्म की शूटिंग के दौरान कोच्चि में मिले ममूटी ने भी ये बात बताई थी लेकिन उनका जोर इस बात पर रहा कि उनका किरदार सच्चा है। इतिहास में उसका नाम है। बस लेखकों ने इस किरदार की वीरता दिखाने को काल्पनिक दृश्य गढ़ लिए हैं। और, ये काल्पनिक दृश्य ही है जिनमें फिल्म शुरू से लेकर आखिर तक पिटती रहती है। ममूटी के भावविहीन चेहरे वाले भाव उनके बेटे बने अचुतन ने भी क्यों पूरी फिल्म में भी अपनाए रखे, निर्देशक एम पद्मकुमार ही बता सकते हैं। एम पद्मकुमार इस फिल्म के दूसरे निर्देशक हैं। पहले जिन संजीव पिल्लई के पास निर्देशन की जिम्मेदारी थी, वह फिल्म के पहले शेड्यूल के बाद ही फिल्म से बाहर हो गए। पद्मकुमार ने बतौर निर्देशक कुछ किया हो फिल्म देखकर लगता नहीं है। नृत्य निर्देशकों ने गाने फिल्मा दिए। विकी कौशल के पिता शाम कौशल ने सारे स्टंट सीन निर्देशित कर दिए तो बाकी कुछ करने को पद्मकुमार के पास है नहीं, जहां मौका मिला भी वहां अपने कलाकारों से कोई उल्लेखनीय अभिनय नहीं करा पाए।
राष्ट्रीय स्तर की नेटबॉल खिलाड़ी रह चुकीं प्राची तहलन का रोल भी फिल्म के दूसरे दमदार कलाकार सिद्दीक की तरह ज्यादा विस्तार नहीं पा पाया है। परन्तु , प्राची ने अपने छोटे से रोल में बड़ी छाप छोड़ी है। उनमें आने वाले कल की संभावनाएं दिखती हैं और हिंदी सिनेमा में वह जॉन अब्राहम और विद्युत जामवाल जैसे कद्दावर नायकों की जोड़ीदार भी बनने की उम्मीदें जगाती हैं। उन्नी के पास दमदार संवाद हैं नहीं और एक ही जैसा एक्शन बार बार देखने की फिल्म देखते समय रुचि नहीं बचती है। अचुतन के बारे में बताया गया था कि उन्हें हजारों बच्चों के ऑडीशन के बाद चुना गया है परन्तु ऐसी कोई उल्लेखनीय बात उनके एक्शन में भी नजर नहीं आती। फिल्म का सबसे कमजोर पहलू है इसके औसत दर्जे के स्पेशल इफेक्ट्स। मलायलम सिनेमा की सबसे महंगी फिल्म बताई गई मामगम के स्पेशल इफेक्ट्स किसी औसत वेब सीरीज से भी गए बीते हैं। संगीत भी फिल्म को कोई खास सहारा नहीं देता है। ममूटी के बहुत बड़े वाले प्रशंसक हैं तो फिल्म देखने जा सकते हैं, बाकी आम दर्शकों के लिए ये फिल्म कुछ खास मनोरंजन लायक नहीं है।
