Big brother role no busy actor will agree becoz its a side role and they do not have anything to do in it. It will ultimately harm their careers . They will stop getting lead roles .

It will be like what happened to Vineeth or Rahman in 80's

Multiple young actors reject roles in senior directors films. A lot of young actors from Malayalam rejected siddiques big brother which had them play the role of Mohanlals brother. Prithviraj is only doing the Shaji Kailas film cause there seems to be a business deal going on with them, and let’s be honest Prithviraj will be very involved behind the scenes. A lot of the seniors directors are really outdated and young actors avoiding them is not that surprising.

Asif Ali has a great working relationship with Sibi Malayil from his early days as an actor. Sathyan Anthikad compared to the rest still delivered hits whereas the rest haven’t done a successful film in years. Njan Prakashan directed by Sathyan Anthikkad was a huge success. Out of all the senior directors the only one that is able to sustain is Sathyan Anthikad and I believe it’s because he had his sons as associates. So they were able to point out how to modernize his filmmaking for the modern times.
