Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton: Ward penalty incident angers Hodgson

Roy Hodgson says the "nonsense" handball law that led to a penalty against Joel Ward in Crystal Palace's 2-1 defeat by Everton is "ruining the game".
Palace defender Ward was adjudged to have handled Lucas Digne's first-half knockdown, despite the ball striking his hand from close range.
Referee Kevin Friend gave the penalty after using his pitch-side monitor.
Richarlison scored from the spot-kick to earn Everton victory.
"It's completely unacceptable. It's destroying my enjoyment of the game of football," said Hodgson.
"I can't understand how everyone in the game - the Premier League, referees, managers and coaches - have allowed this rule to come into operation.
"I don't want to profit from it or lose from it."
Hodgson also believes the decision to penalise Ward sets a dangerous precedent for the future of the game.
"I predict what will happen is players will start flicking the ball onto a hand and screaming 'handball'," added the 73-year-old.
"I do not believe in the rule. People in football find it hard to accept. The referee doesn't think it is handball either. He doesn't want to give it but has to, because that's what he is told to do."

Man City boss Guardiola critical of Leicester tactics after 5-2 defeat

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has criticised Leicester's tactics after seeing his team suffer a 5-2 home defeat.
City dominated after former Leicester midfielder Riyad Mahrez gave them an early lead but their game plan crumbled after Jamie Vardy netted a 37th-minute penalty.
"They didn't want to play, they defended so deep and just wanted to counter-attack," Guardiola said after seeing a side he has managed concede five goals for the first time in his 686th game in charge.
"They scored the first time they arrived and had three penalties in total, so it was very difficult for us. The lack of creating chances made us nervous and anxious."
With both natural strikers Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus out injured, City looked toothless despite having the majority of the possession.
At the other end, they looked like conceding every time Leicester came forward, with Vardy's speed causing all sorts of problems.
Guardiola rued his team's lack of composure but vowed to bounce back after City conceded five goals in the league at home for the first time since a 5-1 defeat by Arsenal in February 2003.

Liverpool, arsenal, leeds, chelsea, crystal palace, tottenham, united can beat City, there are individuals in those team like zaha(cp), auba(arsenal) who can exploit the weak links, proper players in proper position may help city, probably with dias (who was 4th or 5th choice in city' list) in, need a left back badly, i would like to see ederson making saves, almost with a single shot on target opponents are certain to score against city. Can understand what happened against leicester with too many players out, but without addressing the problem positions city are still vulnerable, so top 4 must be their target with this team, liverpool are too strong at the moment with two of the best playing in the wing back positions, best goal keeper and the best attacking trio in the world and with too many injuries city can't cope with them.
