Thuppakki kk shesham ithrem hype thonniya vere vijay Padam illa. But after initial mixed reviews ente expectations low ayi. So Padam kaanan poyath with zero expectations

First half - main positives ayi thonniyath both VJS and Vijay. VJS as the ruthless gangster/one punch man oru rakshayamilla.. this man is on different level.
And Vijay also very good.. with a different swag and attitude as the drunken master..

Thudakkam story pacing kurach slow ayi thonni with both the character intros going more than 30 min..but till intermission oru vidham engaging ayrnnu.. .especially the interval block (highest point in the movie)..also no unwanted seperate comedy track and punch dialogues

First halfil ithiri kallukadi ayi thonniyath the placing of kutti story song ....what was the need for that???
Lokesh vicharichu kaanum nalla paattu ..Ith evide enkilum kuthi kettanamallo..
First half -4/5

Second half - first half endil I am waiting paranjit poya VJS pine oru 45 min no confrontation with Vijay..

THIS IS MY MAIN ISSUE with the film>>Vijay-VJS conflict not developed properly...padathinte USP athayrnnu.Ath correct ayi vannilla.

Nammal full hypeil irikum aaha ini anu hero-villain cat mouse game ..ini aanu story.....because angane anu first half end cheiunnath. Ennit no follow up on that.. ee 45 min mainly focuses on vijay-juvenile kids, Malavika romance plot...sherikum izhachil feel cheithu.

Due to this lag.. final Vijay-VJS meetup also oru impact undakiyilla.
Second half my rating -2/5

Avoid cheiamayrnu ennu thonniya karyangal:
Malavikas role & the whole romance sub plot
Andrea role
Truck chase
Kabbadi scene
Arjun das role (yes.. I also didn't like the twist)
First halfil oru intrigue undayrnnu.. second halfil full predictable ayi poyi..also chila samayam vijay full rakshakan mode feel cheithu

Final verdict -2.5/5 one time watchable.
Ithu oru 100% Lokesh movie ayrnuenki oru pakshe vere result akumayrnnu instead of 50 vijay 50 Lokesh.

Not a fan of vijay-atlee movies

So for me Pokiri>thuppakki>kathi>master>theri/mersal/bigil>sarkar

Adding some more points which i have forget to mention :

1) Anirudh bgm is pure fire .. especially both master and bhavani themes and during the interval fight scene

2) Vijay has 2 intros- one with bus chase and 2nd alumni welcome. orennam mathiyayrnnu

3) Padathil humour ullath mainly from the nature of the characters themselves.. from both Vijay and VJS .. good decision by lokesh

4) Heroines illathe vijaykk padam sugamayi carry cheian patum ..no doubt .. dont know why he hesitates.... lokesh polula directornu easy ayi patum.This movie apt ayrnnu for a slight change .
Pattern alpam maariya vijay fans padam kaanule????? Malavika and andrea - waste roles

5) Maybe thats y i liked first half VJ charcter more than second half- that cool carefree lazy attitude.. second halfil character change pettenn ayipoyi . Pazhaya preachy VJ ayi poyi. Pre climax speech sthiram kand madutha item. sarkar, kathi,mersal, bigil ellam und on the face preachy dialogues

Same for juvenile home kids..these rude kids engane vijayumai mingle cheium ennath kurah kudi better ayi edukamayrnnu. Vijay kaal vacha udane ellarum kutty story dance.. vendayrnu

But this movie is more entertaining than mersal/bigil/theri and sarkar combined no doubt due to VJ/VJS
Maybe I will watch it once more when it comes to OTT
