aamir khan as guru dutt seems a misfit... guru dutt is one of my all time favourite directors... have watched Kaagaz Ke Phool, Pyaasa, Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam, Chaudvin ka Chand, Aar Paar for more than 3 or 4 times... but his personal life image is a tragic one... his affair with waheeda rahman which busted later, his unhappy marriage, the failure of Kaagaz ke Phool, suicide at the age of 39... it requires an actor of real calibre to pull that role of... maybe an ajay devgan or shah rukh khan... aamir might have good script sense and marketing acumen, but this role would be too heavy for him... if done well, this movie could be the citizen kane of bollywood, in terms of the concept...
