Kochaal (2022)

On paper, Kochaal had the scope to be a fairly engaging thriller, but the making here is short on intrigue and there are a lot of hiccups at the beginning that could have been avoided. It has a couple of interesting ideas here and there. Unfortunately, those moments are few and far between, making the overall film far more underwhelming than intended.

കൊച്ചാൾ: കണ്ടിരിക്കാവുന്ന കൊള്ളാവുന്ന ഒരു ത്രില്ലെർ. കുറച്ചു കൂടെ ടൈറ്റ് ആയി എടുത്തിരുന്നേൽ വേറെ ലെവലിൽ പോകേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന ഒരു പടം. ചെറിയ പടം ആയതുകൊണ്ടും ടി വി യിൽ കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടും, ഫാമിലി ത്രില്ലെർ ആയതുകൊണ്ടും എനിക്കെന്തോ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. മുരളി ഗോപി, അടിപൊളി ആയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അയാളൊരു ടിപ്പിക്കൽ പോലീസ് ഓഫീസർ ആയി അങ്ങ് ജീവിക്കുക ആയിരുന്നു . ഒരു ക്ളീൻ ഫാമിലി ത്രില്ലെർ ചിത്രം ആയാണ് എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയത്.


മോൺസ്റ്റർ: കുറച്ചു നാളായി ഈ ലാലേട്ടന് തൊടുന്നതെല്ലാം ചീറ്റുന്ന സാധനങ്ങൾ ആണല്ലോ. ഒന്നും പുതുതായി ഓഫർ ചെയ്യാൻ ഇല്ലാതെ ഒരു നിർഗുണ പടം. മാത്രമല്ല ലാലിനെ ഒന്ന് നന്നായി പ്രേസേന്റ്റ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുപോലും ഇല്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ടു വര്ഷം നോക്കിയാൽ ബ്രോ ഡാഡിയും, ദൃശ്യം 2 ഒഴിച്ച് എല്ലാം ചവറുകൾ. സ്ഥിരം കുട്ടികളുടെ കൂടെ കറങ്ങുന്നതു നിർത്തി, പുതിയ കഴിവ് തെളിയിച്ചവരുമായി സഹകരിക്കണം ആന്റണി, ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ ചീട്ട് കീറും. ആ എലോൺ ദയവു ചെയ്തു ഒ ടി ടി ആയി ഇറക്കണം.


പടവെട്ട്: ചെറിയ ഒരു സബ്ജെക്ട് വലിച്ചു നീട്ടി നല്ലൊരു ക്ലൈമാക്സ് ഇട്ടാൽ പടം ഓടില്ല. ആകെ ഇഷ്ടപെട്ടത് ഷമ്മി തിലകനെയും, ആ നിവിന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ അനിയത്തി ആയി അഭിനയിച്ച ആ രമ്യ സുരേഷിനെയും, ഡയറക്ടർ നന്നായി എടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്, ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫി ടോപ് നോച് ആണ്, എല്ലാം കൊള്ളാം, പക്ഷെ പടം അങ്ങ് വല്ലാതെ വലിഞ്ഞു നീങ്ങുന്നു, നിവിൻ, അയാളോട് ഈ പൊണ്ണത്തടി കുറക്കാൻ ആരെങ്കിലും പറയണം. ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഫീൽഡ് ഔട്ട് ആയി പോകും

Oru okayish investigation thriller.. intervalnodu aduthanu main story start cheyyunathu.. athu vare padam slow ayirunnu... usual cliche stuffs.. 2nd halfum oru full on thrill feel onnumilla, but still watchable.. performance wise better aayi thonniyathu Murali Gopy aanu..

overall one time watchable..

A,B,C are the heroes (brothers). D,E,F,G,H are the heroines. A is married to D, but has a one night stand with G. E is the best friend of C and has a one side love towards him. B is in a live in relationship H, but H breaks up with him for another guy. Now due to circumstances C gets engaged to F, but F falls in love with with B. G gets engaged with B, which A doesn't like. C realised he also loves E, but by that time E is engaged to another person. What happens after this is the story..!!

The movie shows the contrast between two fathers. One, who is hated by the whole village and the other, who tries really hard to keep his family together.
The movie portrays this contrast in a subtle, beautiful manner. Though the movie had "mass" elements, the director decided to go the other way.
