A love story of an army officer named Ram who is enacted by Dulquer and he did it almost perfectly and a women named Sita . As usual the main protagonist is a saint who sacrifices everything for his nation and at the same time he even has a soft corner for his enemy country. The actress who played the female character has a very good screen presence specially when she does classical dance scenes. She reminds me of Aditi Rao Hydari. It is the first time that Iam watching a movie of Rashmika. My prediction is that she can be the next Samatha or Nayanthara . Very pretty and talented and her acting is so natural even in a melodramatic film like this.

But the main problem which lies in this film is that after we watch classics like Veer Zaara at least people like me feel something lacking in this kind of a plot. Cannot be even compared with mahanati which was another classic. This is just an above average watchable movie.

This one is neither a torture nor a classic. It is somewhere in between. Personally I enjoyed second half since that is where the story starts. First half they have unnecessarily dragged for no reason. The movie could have been trimmed to 2 hours or so.

Positives:- DQ, both the heroines, Rashimkas performance deserves a special mention, Cinematography , BGM

Negatives:- First halfile thamashakal asahaneeyam even the supporting actors. Aarem ariyilla except for Prakash Raj , Jishu Sengupta , Rohini and Bhumika Chawla.
Songs except one

Overall verdict:- Neither too bad a watch nor a very great emotionally touching love story. Overall an above average movie

Kurachu koodi trim cheyyamayirunnu. Thamasakal aanu nashippichu kalanjathu. Oru rakshayum illa.. Nalla bore.... Second half comparitively better

Box office:- Looks like DQ has got another hit in Telugu after Mahanati. This movie being a hit in Kerala box office surprises me because we have seen more emotionally haunting classic love stories like Ennu Ninte Moideen...... Iam not sure how far it will work out in bollywood if it is dubbed in Hindi because again there can be comparisons with Veer Zaara....

Veer Zaara kandu nokku.. Ennittu parayu. Enikku veer zaara kandathu kondu ithu valiya emotional connect thonniyilla.

Pakshe ee padam mosham onnum alla. Heroines okke super aayittundu DQvie pole thanne. They should have avoided unnecssary aritificial scenes and comedy in the first half then it would have been a different level. Still njan ee veer zaara , ennu ninte moideen okke kandathu kondu ithu valiya sambhavam aayi thonniyilla. But for Telugu industry which is fed on typical mass masala films this one will be a new experience.

Nalla visuals and bgm aanu ithinte plus. Pinne heroines both Mrunal and Rashmika
