Brahmastra - A good vs evil fantasy entertainer
Movie hall:- PVR cinemas Lulu Kochi
Status :- Houseful
The movie is basically the story of Shiva(Ranbir Kapoor) who has certain premonitions of the evil actions of certain forces who tries to possess Brahmastra so that they can conquer the world. The movie also shows the personal life of Shiva who is an orphan and who also adopts kids who have no one in this world which reminds you of 80's blockbuster Mr.India. Then there is his love life with Isha done by Alia Bhatt.
Storywise the movie has nothing new to offer but the frames in this movie is so colourful and the scenes are very engaging both pre interval and post interval. So of the frames will really make you 'wow' specially the post interval scenes .
3D has been so brilliantly done.
Basically its a 90's kind of mass fantasy good vs evil melodrama but with great visuals, 3D and VFX.
There are certain scenes which remind you of Shankar films but the latest of Shankars crap films are not even a patch on this movie
Positives:- Great visuals, VFX, 3D effects great performances by Ranbir and Big B
Negatives:- No story no logic. Those who expect a story or logic will be disappointed. Over stretched romantic scenes
Dont expect a Baahubali but still a wholesome entertainer
My rating:- 3.25/5
Go for it and watch it only in theatres.
