Default Kooman - A variety thriller in a lighter vein

    Screen :- Cinepolis Kochi

    Status :- Almost full

More than a thriller this is the story which revolves around the main protagonist first half in a very comical manner. Giri played by Asif Ali is a normal junior police officer who is very sensitive and vulnerable over trivial issues and has a vindictive attitude towards those who have harmed him. He will go to any extent to make their lives miserable. He also has a mentor cum close friend in Somashekaran Pillai (Renji panicker) who is a retired police officer and was his superior before that.

The novelty in this story is that the whole plot takes a transition towards second half which if I disclose will be a spoiler.

Asif Ali as the police officer has just lived this role. Others like Jaffer Idukki , Renji Panicker etc have given decent performances

Anoop Menon is typecast in a cameo role.

The mood of this movie is more or less like Drishyam 1 where there are comic elements and towards the end things get serious. Typical Jithu Joseph style but executed in an engaging way.

So many things which have not been discussed in other movies have been discussed here like bodily functions during hanging deaths etc which normally other filmmakers hesitate to discuss

Positives:- Asif Ali, Engaging screenplay, BGM etc

Negatives:- Pre climax fight which is too long. It could have been avoided.

    Rating:- 3.5/5
