Azhakiya Tamil Makan Launched With Fanfare!
Ilayathalapathy's Azhagiya Tamil Magan (ATM) to be directed by Bharathan, went on floors at a grand muhurat held at AVM Studios in Chennai today (24.01.2007) in which the bigwigs of the industry took part. The entire event was held in a grand manner, but with the absence of Ilayathalapathy. The crowd was all cheered up as they could witness Mrs. Sangeetha (Ilayathalapathy's Wife) and Mr S.A.Chandrasekhar (Ilayathalapathy's Dad) who graced the occasion and lit the Kuthu Vilakku.
Director Bharathan, a one time associate of Dharani who gave us the blockbuster flick "Ghilli" gave all credits to Vijay for accepting to be part of the movie. He said that Vijay will give a new dimension to the film. Shreya plays Vijay's ladylove in the movie. The movie also stars Glam Doll Namitha in an important role.

The muhurat was attended by directors Dharani, Perarasu, producers AVM Saravanan, L Alagappan, V Sekar among others. The movie has musical score by 'Isai Puyal' A.R.Rahman. According to producer Appachan, 'We are planning to release Azhagiya Tamil Magan on July'.

SreeVishak ennu 530 seateril NS aayitannu BK odiyathu. The max that BK would have collected if all shows in SV were full would be an extra 1 lakh. Pokiri would also have suffered had it released during exam time. And remember this is only in Tvm. In places like Ekm (BK in Saritha), Clt (BK in Apsara, Kairali and Sree), Pokiri would not have managed to match BK's 1st week collections.
I would like to add that PV was also in Little Shenayees for the first 2 weeks, which means a combined capacity of 1440 seats. Even then it failed to obtain 20 lakhs in 25 days.
