1st phase:Mane was in an offside position from the first ball in but does not impact on a defenders ability to play ball as Firmino is onside. Play on. Then Firmino pulls the ball back to Mane who is standing behind the ball and cannot be deemed offside. Goal!
away beyond the worldly rules of right and wrong, there is a field; I will meet you there
Itonum vayicha manasilavum nu vicharichittalla...still kidakatte...
U mean offside becoz Mane was in offside position when Firminho played the last touch? - namichu. Firminho was onside and he played the ball (still a leg long was Mane behind for that shot reflected off post) and if that went in still offside goal b'coz Mane was in that area...
It's not just mane and Firminho - there were 8 more LFC players running in that ground many of them running for the ball if you want to count them (lolz ) they all were somewhere in that vicinity. If you count Mane you have to count them as interfering as well
All you just focus on that point - Firminho's touch itself makes previous status irrelevant and all pundits and referees given it a s goal based on that. Mane running doesn't make him play the ball or interfering with the ball when another player in onside position. Just watch closely when you watch a match next time - its happens often during set-pieces into the box - when there is a host of opposition players in offside position and still if the ball is headed/touched by a player who was onside and if goal happens from that a legitimate linesman would keep his flag down provided any of them offside players was actively heading the ball (close to the ball). I haven't seen Mane's head or legs or even hands were going for the ball.
And the referee position didn't help the situation either. If he was in a better position he could have made better decision...
