Theatres will always be an integral part of Indian cinema. Most movies made in India especially top star movies is made for theatre watch only. all big star movies will only release after COVID situation eases and will never go on OTT platform. natural movies okke may go to OTT but not mass or big budget star movies. angane irikke it is also in industry interest to protect the theatre owners at least a little during Covid times.

Yes, they have mutual dependency. The point here is that this situation does not have a definite End Date. In such an open ended situation, they may choose other options.
What if Govt decided to have no movies for another 2 years? If theatres convert themselves to marriage halls, can movie producers block it saying they won;t have theatres when movies release after 2 years?
There is no right or wrong here. Very subjective.
Many people are being laid off and many are struggling for food. Is this the right state for a country to be in? NO. But the act is we are in a screwed up situation.
