    Tamil theaters normally don't support non-Tamil movies. Not just Malayalam. Dubbed allenkil parayukaye venda.

    Telugu supports malayalam films more. Ee padam big cities mathram alla dubbed version got theatres in small towns of Tamil Nadu but very limited shows like one show etc.

    Telugu people are heavy supporters of any language films . While Kantara grossed 100 crore in AP it grossed below 15 crores in Tamil Nadu. Tamilians and Kannadigas are narrow mindied . They watch and support only their own films.

    Pulimurugan okke APyil valiya success aayirunnu whereas in TN it did not make any money.
