    White Christmas, Black Mirror (Netflix, 2014)

    A creepy psychological thriller that commands the audience's attention throughout. Black Mirror's Christmas special features twists on top of twists, layers upon layers of meaning. It has a deeply disturbing premise, and over the course of 90 minutes, we experience a sombre mind-twister.

    Must Watch!

    White Bear, Black Mirror (Netflix, 2013)

    White Bear features one of the single most upsetting concepts ever introduced in the realm of fictional entertainment. It relates in similar ways to previous episodes with the use of technology, pertinent themes, and disturbing conclusions on how the human psyche works.

    Must Watch!

    San Junipero, Black Mirror (Netflix, 2016)

    Smart, inventive, original, and above all heartfelt, it's certainly the most uplifting episode of Black Mirror. Seldom has an episode of TV been better served by its final moments, the ending of “San Junipero” marries humanity, technology, and nostalgia with a stunning two-minute masterfully edited sequence that elevates everything we’ve seen before it.

    Must Watch!

    The National Anthem, Black Mirror (Netflix, 2011)

    The pilot episode of Black Mirror has a member of the British royal family being kidnapped, and the kidnapper says he will release the person only when the PM has sex with a pig on live TV. Yes, the premise is so nonsensical. And it works. 'The National Anthem' burst out of the gate with one of those “just bad enough to be genius” ideas that most writers spend entire careers chasing.

    USS Callister, Black Mirror (Netflix,2017)

    Black Mirror's USS Callister goes well beyond a simple Star Trek spoof to open up a new world of possibilities for the sci-fi series. Perhaps one of the most ambitious episodes of Charlie Brooker’s technophobic nightmare, ‘USS Callister’ is a genre mash-up that’s part Star Trek, part Galaxy Quest, and part thriller. It runs longer than the usual episode, about 76 minutes in total, but unlike most extra-long episodes of television, it mostly justifies the extended runtime by first setting up a somewhat traditional Black Mirror-esque story.

    Big Little Lies, Season 1 (HBO, 2017)

    good concept...murder takes place in first episode....but both victim and killer are revealed only in last episode....in between we see various family stuff....curiosity to see victim made me fast forward all the episodes...the family stuff was pretty much boring.

    My ratings for last 5 Lalettan movies:
    * 01/24 - Malaikottai Vaaliban - 4/5
    * 12/23 - Neru - 2.5/5
    * 01/23 - Alone - 2.5/5
    * 10/22 - Monster - 2.6/5
    * 05/22 - 12th Man - 2.5/5

    Hated in the Nation, Black Mirror (Netflix, 2016)

    This episode brings the ghastly side of social media into the spotlight. It is also a solid police procedural, inspired by Nordic murder mysteries. Hated in the Nation is 90 minutes of classic pulp mystery, but since this is one of the darkest sci-fi series to ever hit the small screen, technology inevitably finds its way into humanity’s existence.

    Must Watch!
