പറവൂർ: പ്രശസ്ത ചലച്ചിത്രനടൻ പറവൂർ ഭരതൻ(86) അന്തരിച്ചു. വാർദ്ധക്യസഹജരോഗങ്ങളെ തുടർന്ന് ദീർഘനാളായി ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു. നാടകരംഗത്തിലൂടെയാണ് പറവൂർ ഭരതൻ ചലച്ചിത്രരംഗത്തേക്ക് പ്രവേശിച്ചത്. 250ലേറെ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
1960കൾ മുതലാണ് പറവൂർ ഭരതൻ മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയത്. വില്ലനായും, സ്വഭാവനടനായും, ഹാസ്യതാരമായും ഇദ്ദേഹം നിരവധി ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. നോർത്ത് പറവൂരിലുള്ള വാവക്കാട് എന്ന സ്ഥലത്താണ് ഭരതൻ ജനിച്ചത്. എസ്.എൻ ഹൈസ്*കൂൾ മൂത്തകുന്നത്താണ് ഭരതൻ തന്റെ പഠനം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. പഠന കാലത്തും ഇദ്ദേഹം കലാരംഗത്ത് സജീവമായിരുന്നു.
