Salman Khan is the man of the moment. Those who thought that the forty-five-year old star was a little over the hill to play an action hero, have got their answer in the hat-trick of hits that had Salman Khan doing kick-ass stunts. In the latest ApunKaChoice poll, the superstar’s fans also second that action is Salman’s forte.
The man who cemented his toe-hold in the Hindi film industry by playing the quintessential loverboy in films like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and went on to do comedy in a spate of films is most adulated upon by his fans for his stunts and action, according our new poll in which we had asked our readers to vote on what Salman does best on screen. The options were Comedy, Romance, Action and Drama.
We’re not surprised to know that most of his fans find him hottest when he does stunts and action. Remember the opening scene of Dabangg when he kicks up a door and proceeds to bash up the baddies. Before that Salman wowed us with his stunts in the runaway hit Wanted. And now, he’s proved it again with Ready which is going strong at the box office.
So of the 1086 votes cast, as many as 60 percent think that Salman is best at doing action.

Films like Biwi No. 1, Hello Brother, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Partner have showcased Salman’s talent at tickling the funny bone. Even Dabangg and Ready have flashes of Salman’s typical humour. Like that scene just before the interval in Ready when he sees a bale of dried grass and proceeds to wet it by answering nature’s call.

He may no longer play the college dude wooing the pretty young things, but 10 percent voters still felt that playing romantic roles is Salman’s forte.
