Athe actual fans will never hate them.. kurachoru asooya okke undavum enne ulloo.. pinne opposite team cheyyunna chila wrong tactics nod kadutha prathishedhavum.. koode Aaranu better Ethraya collection ennokke paranj fight um.. but still at the end of the day, we would respect the other actor because he too has been brilliant throughout.. coz we love cinema as we do our star..
In my case, Lucifer kandappol enikk goosebumps undayi.. Chithram, nokketha doorathu okkeyulla padangalile effortless & natural comedies kandu oru paadu chirichittund.. Dasarathathile Maggie aunty yodulla dialogue um kireedathule sethumadhavante dialogue um sadayathile performance um ullonn ulachittund.. Devasuravum Sphadikavum kandappol aaveshabharithanayittund.. For me, Mohanlal is the second best actor cums star, much above Kamal Hasan, Amitabh Bachchan etc..
Cinema yil politics mix aakkunnavaranu innathe kaalathe shaapam..
I wouldnt agree with ikka's consistency. I believe the issue has been more about has there been challenging movies for ikka to perform. For eg: in Bheeshmaparvam that scene where he does the second fight and the way his face lit up when he tells that dialogue , it shows an evilness in his face. In shylock , the way he breathes that Boss character , makes you feel effortless but many actors would have failed in that role. Another movie which he got his moments were Unda . The scene where they are in the camp and there is heavy firing, how he displays the inner fears. Makes you wonder this is the same person who did Abrahaminte Santhathikal. And in ABS, he has that last scene where he looks at Vijayan. Just a look and it shows all the power.
Not going much in to a lot of other movies. But I feel , Ikka has that consistency still in him. You can still name movies like Munnariyippu , Pathemathiri and all. And compare it to Peranbu. The issue is unfortunately we dont have writers who could challenge Mammokka. I think may be movies like Puzhu, Nanpakal Nerathu does that to him.
Coming to Lal, unfortunately that idiot Shreekumar , what he did to Lal with that surgery has affected him. Mohanlal even in his mass movies, there was always this charm to him. He could emote a lot with his eyes and face and somehow that seems to have been lost. And also the difference between both Mammokka and Lal is Lal being a natural actor and Mammokka being a method actor , where through each of his characters Mammokka was growing as an actor.
shreekumarine kuttam parayanda oru aavshyavum illa.
ultimately it was mohanlals decision.
if u ask me, i would say it was the right decision. Thadiyokke iver aayi veruvaarnu.
and good result expect cheythaan ellaarum ithokke cheyyuka. Unfortunately it didn’t come out completely as he expected.
challenging roles vannaal lal definitely perform cheyyum. But him and his producer are very much focused on creating a Brand image and obviously money matters to them very much.
bro daddyile chila scenesile act okke enikk nannaayi ishtapettu..
Well , could be it was Mohanlals decision. However I feel, somehow Shreekumar tried to influence Mohanlal into believing that something drastic was needed for him to become slim or something. Yes , bro daddy was good but still not the Mohanlal or Lalettan we have seen. In the movie Ravanaprabhu Mohanlal makes this dialagoue "Entho ishtamanu enne " , that expression of both Mass and a bit of fun , and many more. In bro daddy unfortunately you can miss this . Again I am not telling Mohanlal as an actor is all gone. He is like one of the finest Indian cinema has ever produced. But somehow he is now forced to keep that beard for every movie and making it all too cliched for every character. So it pains all that effort he took doing the surgery was to perform in a movie like Odiyan.
