While everyone knows the brash and hot-tempered side of Salman Khan, few know that he’s always doing charity wherever he goes.
He is currently in Chandigarh shooting for Atul Agnihotri’s next but even there he’s already busy with charity work.
The actor has asked his business manager to look up all the poor people in the city who are in need of cataract operations in the hospitals but can’t afford them and asked her to get them done. Salman is paying for the operations from his own pocket.

Toronto, Jun 25 (PTI)
Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ led the technical award winners tally with three trophies each at IIFA.
‘Dabangg’ won Best Choreography for the hit song, ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ choreographed by Farah Khan, and Leslie Fernandes won Best song recording. The film also won the award for Best Action by S Vijayan.
And the winner is?! “without a doubt @BeingSalmanKhan’s Blockbuster #Dabangg which has not only swept up all the awards

http://26.media.tumblr.com/preview.c...Ls9y2Y_500.jpgIIFA IS HERE again, this time in Toronto. No expenses have been spared and a lot of gossip has surrounded the awards even before it has begun.
Let’s take a look at all the players in the important categories and why they would be willing to fly across the world to attend this award function when there will only be one winner.
The biggest contender in the best film category is without a doubt Salman Khan’s blockbuster Dabangg which has not only swept up all the awards including the prestigious, and off late much ridiculed, National Award, and risen Salman’s star power to another level. An insider from the Salman camp says, “Without a doubt everybody else should be extremely wary of Dabangg being nominated because that film has swept up all the awards so far. You cannot ignore its entertainment value.”
No surprises if Dabangg scores in the best director category as well; the reasons: year’s biggest hit, has Salman in it - period. Hence, Abhinav Kashyap has a serious chance of winning this one. Karan Johar’s movie milked its money’s worth on the very soil that the awards are taking place on and he doesn’t seem too worried about losing either.
IN THIS CORNER
When it comes to best actor, Salman Khan is the hot favourite without a doubt. A source close to Salman says, “Dabangg wouldn’t have been a success if Salman wasn’t in it. He appeals to the mass audience like no other.”
Salman to skip IIFA
ALL THOSE WHO were expecting a face-off between the two Khans of Bollywood - Salman and Shah Rukh - at the forthcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend will be disappointed as Salman has decided to skip the award ceremony.
In Mumbai to promote his debut movie production Chillar Party, Salman confirmed that he won’t be present at the three-day event which will kick off today in Toronto. “I am shooting for my next Bodyguard and it is an action movie, so yes, you people won’t see me there. IIFA will miss me this time,” said Salman.
This year, Shah Rukh is performing on the IIFA stage after seven years. The actor has attended two editions of the IIFA Weekend in the past - in Singapore in 2004, and Amsterdam in 2005.
As Chillar Party will open the 12th IIFA awards ceremony and this being Salman’s first production, his presence was definitely expected. But it seems the rift between the two Khans has pushed Salman to stay away from the ceremony.
