Vishnuvardhan’s untitled film starring
Ajith went on floor today in Chennai at
the Viswaroopa Sai temple. Present at
the event were Arya, director
Vishnuvardhan, producer AM Ratnam,
writers Suba, designer Anuvardhan,
cinematographer PS Vinod and editor
Naani. The first schedule of the film will
kick off at Mumbai on June 2 nd and will
go on till the end of the month.
News is that Mahesh Manjrekar, who
played the villain in Salman Khan
starrer Bodyguard has also been roped
to do the villain role. The music is by
Yuvan. Nayanthara and Taapsee are
also in the lead cast.

The movie pooja of the highly anticipated
Ajith and Arya starrer, directed by
Vishnuvardhan, took place today. The
grand pooja ceremony, held at
Vishwaroopa Sri Shridi Sai Baba Mandir,
was witnessed by top celebrities like Ajith
Kumar, Arya, Vishnuvardhan, Naani
(editor), Anu Vardhan (costume designer),
A Raghuram (producer), P.S. Vinod
(cinematographer) and A.M. Rathnam.
The star studded cast of the movie also
includes Nayantara and Taapsee in
important roles. Produced by A. Raghuram
under the banner of Sathya Sai movies, the
filming is scheduled to start in Mumbai, on
Saturday (2nd June).

Even as 'Billa 2' is gearing up for a
release, Ajith's next with Vishnuvardhan is
already making several headlines. The
latest is that Bollywood director cum actor
cum producer Mahesh Manjrekar will play
baddie in this yet-to-be-titled film.
However it is said that there are few other
villains as well in this film where Mahesh
Manjrekar plays the main villain. This is
not the first time he's playing baddie for he
played the bad guy in blockbusters like
'Slumdog Millionaire' and few other Hindi
films.
National Award winning Manjrekar is
known for critically acclaimed films
'Vaastav: The Reality', 'Astitya' and
'Viruddh... Family Comes First'.
This to-be-titled venture by AM Ratnam
goes on floors in Mumbai on June 2. Ajith,
Arya, Nayantara and Taapsee Pannu play
lead roles, while music is by Yuvan
Shankar Raja

ARAVIND SAMY'S ROLE IN AJITH'S FILM

Reports from Kollywood are that Aravind
Samy has been signed up to play an
important role in the Ajith-Arya starrer that
is to be directed by Vishnuvardhan. The
shooting of this film has begun today in
Mumbai and reports are rife that Aravind
will be playing Ajith’s older brother in the
film.
The film, which has not been titled yet, will
have Nayanthara and Taapsee as the
leading ladies with Yuvan Shankar Raja
scoring the music.
AM Rathnam is producing this venture on
a very high budget.

The inaugural pooja of the Ajith and
Arya starrer to be directed by
Vishnuvardhan happened yesterday
amidst much fanfare. The event was
attended by the film’s producer AM
Rathnam, Arya, and Vishnuvardhan
among others.
The shooting of this untitled project will
go on floors from tomorrow, June 2nd
onwards in Mumbai. The director has
signed up Bollywood actors Mahesh
Manjrekar to play the baddie in this
film.
Ajith, Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee
have already been roped in for the lead
roles and there is a buzz that Aravind
Samy may also join the star cast.
Yuvan Shankar Raja will wield the
music baton for this Ajith starrer.
The buzz is that Vishnuvardhan is
planning this film as a Diwali release.

The Villain in Ajith's Next

Ajith next film in the pipeline will be
directed by Vishnuvardhan. The
shooting of this film, according to
industry sources, will commence in
Mumbai from tomorrow, June 2nd,
2012, onwards. Nayanthara will play
Ajith’s heroine and Arya and Taapsee
will be the other pair.
The latest announcement regarding this
untitled venture is that Bollywood actor
Mahesh Manjrekar will play the baddie.
He was seen in films like Slumdog
Millionaire, Dabangg, Ready, and
Wanted. Mahesh is also a producer,
director and writer with several films to
his credit.
Vishnuvardhan is happy to have
Mahesh on-board as the role offered to
him is very challenging and required an
actor of his calibre to carry it well.
The director’s favourite, Yuvan Shankar
Raja has been roped in to score the
music for this film.

The recently launched untitled project
with Ajith, Nayan and Arya in the lead
has Vishnuvardhan calling the shots.
The movie went on floors with an
official pooja and is being shot in
Mumbai. According to producer A M
Ratnam, the crew will camp in Mumbai
for a month.
Nayan joined the cast recently and will
be seen with two lead actors in the
movie. After shooting for a couple of
songs and a few scenes, the crew will
be back in Chennai, according to a
production source.

Ajith is sticking to what he said some time
back- that he would henceforth act in
characters that suit his age. In his yet-to-
be-titled forthcoming film with
Vishnuvardhan, the actor is playing a
middle-aged man.
"The Thala will appear without any make
up. He joined the sets of the movie in
Mumbai on June 3 and shooting is going
on in a fast track. Scenes on Ajith, Arya
and Nayantara are being canned," sources
say.
Remember this is not the first time for Ajith
to appear without make-up, as he did it for
his 50th film 'Mankatha' last year. His salt
and pepper look in the Venkat Prabhu
directed film won him huge laurels.
In the meantime, after completing this
Vishnuvardhan venture, Ajith will start
shooting for a film to be directed by Siva of
'Siruthai' fame. Anushka will be the
heroine.
