u myt tell that as an srk fan...an akki fan may counter that saying SIK ws a gud performance given the role n template that akki films follow jus lyk srk has his own template...i c no difference in both...srk did well in the role given to him, nothin extraordinary...n similarly akki ws the only one who cud've played such a dumbwit role to perfection....
pinne, vaalukal vekkunnadhinu munne oru kaaryam orthaal nann...everyone knows which camp set this award fixing precedent in bollywood...so!
Interesting indeed. Onnu nokkiyal ee kalathu ella top stars um follow a 'template'. If SRK has his 'mushy romance+feel good', Akki has 'over the top logicless comedy'. Even our gems have not escaped this. Mam has his 'buffoon comedy + trying to be cool stuff' and Lal has his 'larger than life meesha pirikkal' stuff.
Perhaps the one and only star who can say that his template is something called 'Variety or Difference' is Aamir Khan. Just my thoughts.
I am not sure though I feel AB did a wide variety of roles when he was in his prime but even he was not as intentional in trying out different stuff as Aamir is.
And about Kamal, if you are pointing there, then I feel yes he tries to be different but off late he tries too hard just to show up something different and falls drastically wrong as in Alavandan and Dasa.
of late vidannaa, ellaa legendsnum careernte latter stagesil pattunnathe kamaljikkum pattiyittulloo!!! general opinion, wen any actor has talked of the word "different" or "variety" the first name he/she takes is "lyk kamal sir used to do!" ennaanu!
n abt big B not trying international or different stuff than wot aamir does now, times were not the same wen big B was at his prime!!! now there r more avenues for today's actors to go international, n big B, going by his statements ws and is, never a fan of going international in the first place!
