They stole our hearts as Bittoo Sharma and Shruthi Kakkar. And this super hit jodi of ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ (BBB) will soon again grace the screens….. Yes, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma are yet again paired by Yash Raj Films for director Maneesh Sharma.
After the heartwarming success of BBB, one can just look forward to this winning team’s forthcoming venture, titled ‘Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl’. Hmmm, sounds interesting na?
The film is reported to be a fun-filled “Rom-Con” where a smooth and charming conman, Ricky Bahl, cons girls for a living but finally meets his match.
The film is produced by Aditya Chopra and is based on a story developed by him. Habib Faisal has written the dialogues, the screenplay is by Devika Bhagat. The music will be composed by Salim-Sulaiman, lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and the film will be shot by Aseem Mishra (DOP), all of whom have been a part of BBB.
‘Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl’ starts shooting early April with plans to be in theatres worldwide on 9th Dec 2011 (the same weekend when BBB released).
With Ranveer Singh, who won rave reviews with his endearing and scintillating performance, as well as the Best Actor (Debut) at all the award shows this year, and the accomplished and charismatic Anushka Sharma, one can expect guaranteed zabardast mazaa this year end too…. Bread Pakode Ki Kasam!

Shah Rukh dons ‘item’ avatar!

He did it before, now he’s doing it again…. King Khan Shah Rukh is going to set several hearts racing by doing a special number in his forthcoming home production ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’, directed by Roshan Abbas.
Well, one would have enjoyed Badshah’s grooves and moves in his earlier production ‘Kaal’ and Rakesh Roshan's ‘Krazzy 4’. This time we can surely expect more sparks from the star Khan, since sources claim that SRK has especially worked on his body and also he will sport a new look in the song. Besides, the makers of the film will be promoting the SRK’s dance number as key highlight of the film.
Hmmmm our birdies added that SRK might even leave behind the likes of Munni and Sheila by becoming an Item Boy…..!
Oooo, that only time will tell…. Let’s wait to catch this Khan in the ‘item’ action….
Kareena to closely watch Priyanka's '7 Khoon Maaf'?

If one hears about Kareena Kapoor closely monitoring the next week's release, don't be too surprised. And that's because Priyanka Chopra would be seen in '7 Khoon Maaf' in which she is expected to have come up with a bravura act. Currently it is just a theatrical promo and a couple of songs which are making the rounds of theaters, satellite and internet world but that has been good enough to make the whole industry stand up and notice what Priyanka has in the offing. No wonder, the 'darling' in this Vishal Bhardwaj's film seems to have caught everyone's imagination and also made top actors check out what the ex-Miss World is up to this time around.
"Priyanka has a knack of coming up with something striking every now and then. She isn't as prolific as Kareena but she definitely knows where to put her fingers on," an industry observer comments, "She watches her steps carefully and though she may have done an odd 'Pyaar Impossible' for personal reasons, '7 Khoon Maaf' would actually mean that all her 'khoon' from the past would be 'maaf'."
"Vishal Bhardwaj is known to extract award winning performances from his actors", continues the observer, "With Priyanka he had done wonders in 'Kaminey' even though she had a small role there. Now she has an author backed central role in '7 Khoon Maaf'. Kareena is someone who wants box office as well as critical appreciation. While the former would definitely happen due to sheer volume of films that she is doing, Kareena would be closely observing what Priyanka does so that she knows what's in store for her when it comes to awards."
Meanwhile Kareena has as many as five films lined up this year, namely 'Ra. 1' (with Shah Rukh Khan), 'Agent Vinod' (with Saif Ali Khan), 'Bodyguard' (with Salman Khan), tentatively titled 'Short Term Shaadi' (with Imran Khan) and yet untitled film with Aamir Khan. A line up like this is indeed huge which means she still is in a much secure zone as well. However, with Priyanka taking an early lead with '7 Khoon Maaf', the Kapoor girl can well be expected to be notice every step of her close rival.

Everybody was wondering why SRK is missing from his best pal Karan’s film but don’t be disappointed, the latest reports suggest that Shah Rukh will be definitely part of the project and he will turn professor for this movie.
He has done it in 2000 for the movie ‘Mohabbatein’. Now, after more than 10 years, SRK will be seen in the same avatar of a professor, who is loved by his students.
Hold on, hold on, now don’t draw any conclusions with ‘Mohabbatein’ as Rishi is also a veteran playing a professor like the way the iconic Big B did in the Yash Raj picture ‘Mohabbatein’ which was based on Hollywood flick ‘Dead Poet Society’. However you may find some similarities with the hit Hollywood series ‘High School Musical’ when you watch ‘Student of the Year’. For, according to highly placed sources, Karan Johar’s next offering to the genre of bubble gum NRI romancers is indeed based on the ‘High School Musical’.

The last time Karan directed a teenage-romance was in his directorial debut, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998), starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee.
Now after 12 years King Khan and Kajol will again feature in a candy gloss sweet and bubbly romancer ‘Student of The Year’ helmed by Karan Johar.

Ajay gets another ‘Kajal’

Now hold your horses, it’s not what you think! Of course, we are speaking about another lady who is going to make her debut in Bollywood. She is Kajal Agarwal, an eminent actress of South and the beauty said to have been signed in for Rohit Shetty’s forthcoming ‘Singam’ remake, starring Ajay Devgn.
Earlier the speculations were rife that Anushka Shetty, another top southie who did the original, was being considered for playing Ajay’s love interest. However, things didn’t seem to have worked for her.
Well, to tell you something about this newbie Kajal – she had featured in ‘Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na’ as Aishwarya Rai’s friend. In fact, she has been cast in Dabangg’s Telugu remake for Sonakshi’s role!
‘Singam’ is being remade in Hindi by Reliance Big Pictures with Ajay playing a tough cop. Prakash Raj will feature in a negative character. The untitled project will start rolling this month and release in July.
