This man came into movies as a comedian but you should see his performance in Action Hero Biju. Just two scenes but he stole the entire movie. Excellent act as a man whos wife eloped with her lover who is his friend also. Emoted the emotions so well that the entire theater clapped while he walked out from the screen. Yes he is a National Award Winning Actor. Surajetta... Bowing

ായത്തെ ഗൗനിക്കാതെയാണ് ഞാനും അവനും സിനിമ കാണാൻ പോയത്.തുടക്കത്തിലെ"A RIDE WITH A POLICE OFFICER" എന്ന Tagline അക്ഷരാർത്ഥത്തിൽ യാഥാർഥ്യമാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടാണ് ഈ സിനിമ അവസാനിക്കുന്നത്.സിനിമയിലെ പല സന്ദർഭങ്ങളും കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളും മുൻപരിചയമുള്ളതായി തോന്നിയെങ്കിലും S.I.ബിജു പൗലോസെന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തിനു എറണാകുളം സിറ്റിപോലീസിലെ(ഇപ്പോൾ സ്പെഷ്യൽ ബ്രാഞ്ച് സബ് ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ)ഗോപകുമാർ സാറുമായി ഒരുപാട് സാമ്യം ഉള്ളതായി തോന്നി.പിന്നിടുള്ള എല്ലാ പരിശോധനകളും എന്റെ സംശയങ്ങൾ ശരിയാണെന്ന് എനിക്ക് ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതായിരുന്നു.S.I.ബിജുവിന്റെ സ്വാഭാവവും കേസുകളിലെ ഇടപെടലുകളും പൂർണമായി മനസ്സിലാക്കിയാൽ നമുക്ക് മനസ്സിലാകും എറണാകുളം സൗത്തിലും കളമശ്ശേരിയിലും S.I.ആയി പ്രവരർത്തിച്ച ഗോപകുമാർ സാറിന്റെ ജീവിതമാണ്* ഈ സിനിമയിൽ കാണുന്നതെന്ന്.ഒരു യഥാർത്ഥ പോലീസുകാരന്റെ ജീവിതം കാണിച്ചുതന്ന ഈ സിനിമയ്ക്ക്* എല്ലാവിധ ആശംസകളും നേരുന്നു.(ഇത് എന്റെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ അഭിപ്രായമാണ്.)

A socially relevant and responsible movie that is straight from the heart- this is something the team can be extremely proud of. Nivin's dialog delivery can improve but he has immensely likeable screen presence, Suraj Venjarammoodu is a total departure from his normal self and is impressive in his 2 scene appearance. Jerry Amaldev's music is nothing much to write home about. Notwithstanding all of that, I came out feeling respectful of the cops and I would say that is the biggest victory for the makers.

This film potrays the daily life of a normal sincere police man. All the diverse issues dealt within a police station in Kerala. The insecurities of the job, and constant threat to the life of a police officer. How the police station remains to be common man's quickest court for most of the issues. The extra ordinary acting of even the smallest roles in the film was remarkable. Nivin Pauly was endearing and original. Even the small roles played by rohini, devi ajit, jojo, sajan , manju vani, were all exceptional , the highlight of this film was many new faces in smallest roles were perfectly executed. you won't forget the face of the girl as ncc cadet , the influential Samson, his advocate , suraj's wife, his friend the alcoholic and each and every actor in the film. I searched for their names in wiki but could not get it.The few minutes appearance of suraj left a character that lingers in your mind for days after you leave the theatre. The "title action hero biju" may seem pun intended after the film, but the tag line "a ride with a police officer" explains it all. The director abrid shine has done justice by maintaining his standards after "1983". The film is exceptional bcoz it has nothing exceptional or unusual in it. No masala, or unnatural fight scenes, dialogue or even a hip hop song. It is a simple story told in the most natural and simple way. This film is a "big salute" to our police officers
The mixed reactions are due to extra hype and pre release reactions and huge release. This is the best cop movie I have seen after Mumbai Police. Nivin cannot deliver SG dialogues or Mammoos presence or Prithvis look as a cop but as a cop we see in real life he is best.
