Mammokka was always interested in enacting roles that excited him . And he knew, he had nothing to prove further. And if through him new directors could come in and make a name , he was happy for it. He is the same person who in his peak time found time to act in movies like karuthapakshikal , kaiyoppu etc when he knew that would not make money at the box office . Unfortunately directors he worked with did not put their efforts in utilizing Mammokka. Mammokka always knew box office numbers were all achievable with a single movie. This is the difference between him and Mohanlal. Unfortunately Mohanlal focussed on his stardom and people around him utilized him for star power. That is why we have not seen challenging roles done by Lal. Fans of the Maestro Mammokka always had their moments where Mammokka the master actor was cherished. Even in those movies like Abrahaminte Santhathikal , Mammokka as an actor was in display in many scenes. Even Shylock , forget the cliched backdrop scenes, Mammokka was in full form .It just showed even with a sub standard script , he could show what he could. And forget the Palkuppis and hard core Lal fans who are interested in talking about 50 cr or 100 cr. They know nothing about the King. When he is on rampage mode, nothing can stop him.
