DeTOUR ,the short film which is all set to be analyzed in a foreign film festival, was initially just an idea which later developed as a passion among us which drove us to strive hard for its realization. The road to the completion of this project was never foolproof though.Though the project was well planned, rains played their part in boosting the budget.Financial struggles often tended to let us down mentally, thanks to Our dearest Members, without whose generosity this wouldn't have become a reality. In fact we are yet to survive out of some more financial debts incurred in due course.Hope all members will see this as our own project and any help will be deeply valued. On a Personal perspective i gave in with all possible support from my side despite Karnan warning me that it was a small role that i had in the flick, just because i felt being a part of the project was what mattered.
Thanks to B Unnikrishnan Sir for his guidance and support.

Synopsis
Language: Malayalam
Duration: 23:52
Two cops -- a hardened senior and a young, edgy junior -- are
transporting a detained outlaw to an investigating team. The junior,
who had at some point aspired to be a priest, is anxious about his
wife who's in labour while the composed, clinical senior seems to know
more than what meets the eye. Out of fuel and stuck in the middle of
nowhere, the cops fight frayed tempers and engage in arguments over
ideology as they wait for a man would turn up with the diesel. But
they can't choose their destinies. They can only wait. Detour tries to
trace three men thrown right into the middle of a manic day of
uncertainties. The detour, the change of course -- the cops take a
route different from what was originally planned -- is the trigger to
a sequence of chance and intrigue. It also alludes to the dilemma of a
man who has strayed into a road not lit with his own chosen values.
