Raonic to Federer: 'I honestly thought you were playing for 2,000 wins today. I think you need to step it up.'

Novak Djokovic heads the Australian Open draw as 2015 men’s seedings are announced
Unlike Wimbledon, which uses its own unique formula to take grass-court results into greater account, the Australian Open seedings follow the ATP World Tour rankings so there are few surprises as the full list of 32 seeds was announced on Wednesday.
Four-time champion Djokovic enters the Australian Open ranked world no. 1 and consequently is the top seed as the Serb aims to shake off his early defeat to Ivo Karlovic in Doha and reclaim the title he won three consecutive years in 2011-13. Djokovic lost in the quarterfinals to eventual champion Stan Wawrinka in 2014 but he cannot meet the Swiss earlier than the semifinals this year – Chennai Open champion Wawrinka is seeded fourth for his title defence and will head his own quarter of the draw.

The draw for the 2015 Australian Open takes place on Friday 16 January at 10.30am (11.30pm GMT on Thursday in the UK) and the biggest question will be where Wawrinka and third seed Rafael Nadal fall in the draw. With Djokovic and four-time champion Roger Federer seeded first and second, we could see a Djokovic-Nadal or Federer-Nadal semifinal according to the luck of the draw.
2014 US Open runner-up Kei Nishikori is seeded fifth, while two-time Grand Slam champion – and three-time Australian Open finalist – Andy Murray is seeded sixth and there will, again, be keen interest to see where they fall in the draw. Tomas Berdych, a semifinalist at the Australian Open in 2014, and Brisbane International finalist Milos Raonic complete the top eight seeds.
Seeds 9-16 include David Ferrer, Grigor Dimitrov and Feliciano Lopez. The seedings only deviate slightly from the rankings. Doha champion David Ferrer will be seeded ninth after the withdrawal of world no. 9 and reigning US Open champion Marin Cilic due to a shoulder injury, and world no. 12 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is absent due to an arm injury.
As a result, Fernando Verdasco and Martin Klizan are both seeded for the Australian Open, making the list at 31 and 32 respectively.
Another major question is where the ATP World Tour’s unseeded but potentially very dangerous players might land. 2013 Wimbledon semifinalist Jerzy Janowicz, Australian talents Bernard Tomic and Nick Kyrgios, Canada’s Vasek Pospisil and 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro will all be unseeded for the 2015 Australian Open and no top player will want to draw them in the first round.
