Khushboo plans a film with Dileep
The actress hopes to produce a Mollywood film as soon as the star can allot her the required dates
The first time Mollywood saw the Dileep-Khushboo pair was in Sunils Manathe Kottaram. While the actor played a hard core fan of the actress, she played herself in the movie. Now, years later, Mtown was hoping to see the pair once again on screen in Sandhya Mohans Mr Marumakan. However, thats not going to happen anytime soon as the film has been stalled. Its been exactly a year since we started shoot. There were date clashes, then I was unwell and now, with Jagathy Sreekumars condition, I have no idea about the movies situation, says K h u s h b o o. Interestingly, she plays the mother of Dileeps love interest in the movie.
Now, the producer in her wants to work on a Mollywood film. And when it comes to choices, Khushboo, who has acted with the biggest of stars across the south, wants to cast her friend Dileep. Yes, I want to produce a film in Malayalam with Dileep in the lead role. But he is such a busy man. Its so difficult to get his dates, she says.

His latest film ‘Mayamohini’ is running to packed houses all over the state, and is very well on the way to become one of the biggest box office hits of the year as yet. Men and women have taken a liking to Dileep’s female act, and the actor is all ecstatic that his attempts to portray a beautiful female on screen have paid off!
Dileep recently revealed that he has done everything that the audience would expect a heroine in a commercial film to do. He has dressed up beautifully as a young woman, and has sung and danced to his fans’ delight. He agrees that this make over was radically different from the other attempts that he had made in the past, like in films as ‘Kunjikoonan’ and ‘Chanthupottu’.
‘Mayamohini’ has been directed by Jose Thomas and has been scripted by Siby K Thomas and Udaykrishna. It also stars Biju Menon and Baburaj in the lead roles, along with Lakshmi Rai and Mythili as heroines. The film has reportedly collected a share of 35 lakh INR on the first day of its release!
