ബാഗ്ലൂര്* : ദീര്*ഘ കാല സുഹൃത്തും പ്രതിശ്രുത വരനുമായിരുന്ന സൊഹ്റാബ് മിശ്രയുമായുള്ള വിവാഹത്തില്* നിന്നും ഇന്ത്യന്* ടെന്നീസിന്റെ താരം സാനിയ മിര്*സ പിന്*മാറി. നേരത്തെ ഇരുവരുടെയും വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയം വളരെ ആഢംബരമായി കൊണ്ടാടിയിരുന്നു. പരസ്പരം പൊരുത്തപ്പെട്ട് പോവാന്* കഴിയില്ലെന്ന് മനസിലായത് വിവാഹ നിശ്ചയത്തിന് ശേഷമാണെന്നും അതിനാലാണ് പിന്*മാറുന്നതെന്നും സാനിയ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. സൊഹ്റാബിന് ജീവിതത്തിന്* നന്*മകളുണ്ടാവട്ടെ എന്നും അവര്* ആശംസിച്ചു. ഇപ്പോള്* ലണ്ടനില്* എം.ബി.എ വിദ്യാര്*ഥിയാണ് സൊഹ്റാബ്. പഠനം പൂര്*ത്തിയായ ശേഷമാണ് വിവാഹമുണ്ടാവുക എന്നായിരുന്നു നേരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നത്. വിവാഹത്തില്* നിന്ന് പിന്*മാറുമെന്ന് 23 കാരിയായ സാനിയയുടെ പിതാവ് ഇംറാനും കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

Veteran Malayalam actor Thilakan's daughter Sofia Thilakan was married to Ajith on Tuesday in a simple ceremony at Idappazhanji RDR auditorium, Thiruvanthapuram. The bridegroom Ajith, son of late R. Rajendran, is from West Thumbara Nada, Kollam. Among the celebrities from the Malayalam film industry, only director Lohithadas, who was introduced to films by Thilakan, attended the wedding. Some small screen actors were also present. It is said that the biggies in the Malayalam film industry, including superstars, boycotted his daughter's wedding due to an ongoing feud between Thilakan and stalwarts of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). Lohithadas flew down from Chennai to attend the wedding. When asked about the absence of superstars in the wedding, Thilakan said that not only stars, but even their satellites and comets did not come to the wedding. My daughter's wedding took place in a nice way without them, he added.
