Awara releasing on May 14

The dubbed Telugu version of Tamil hero Karthi's super hit flick Paiyya, directed by Lingusamy under the banner of Thiruppathi Brothers and Cloud Nine, will grace screens across Andhra Pradesh as Awara on May 14. Tamannaah is the heroine.
The Tamil version, released on April 2, grossed Rs. 12 crores in the first three days and was declared a commercial success within a few days. Music is composed by Yuvanshankar Raja.
Shot in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and several important towns in Andhra Pradesh, the film revolves around Shiva (Karthi), an engineering graduate who is on the lookout for a job in Bangalore. One day, he meets Charu (Tamannaah) at a bus stop and falls in love with her at first sight.
Later, Shiva meets Charu and her uncle in a railway station and they mistake him to be a cab driver. They ask him to drop them at Chennai. At one point, when they stop at a petrol bunk for refuelling, Charu ask Shiva to start the car, leaving her uncle behind! There begins the racy action journey of Paiyya.

Paiyya Box office Performance...
The film got a solo release on 2 April 2010, Good Friday, with no opposition in Tamil Nadu. The film earned Rs. 70,99,863 in the opening weekend across Chennai, taking the biggest opening of the year and even topping Karthi's earlier release Aayirathil Oruvan. The film grossed Rs. 12 crores in the first three days and was declared a commercial success within a few days. In the United Kingdom the film was distributed by B4U and was released across six screens, grossing £21,021 in the opening weekend, opening at the 23rd place. Furthermore, in Malaysia, the film opened across 34 screens and had collected $349,368 after the second week.

Karthi's Naan Mahan Alla is hot!
Guess the hottest movie in the Kollywood trade? It is Karthi’s new Susindran directed Naan Mahan Alla, produced by Gjnavel Raja of Studio Green.
Hot and happening Karthi ,after the stupendous success of Paiyaa and Susindran following his critically acclaimed hit Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu are coming together for the first time in the film which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Everybody in tinsel town wants to buy this film with an old Rajinikanth title. The latest we hear is that the entire shoot of the film which has Karthi and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead is complete and the film will release in August.
After his superb performances in Pasanga and Nadodigal, Jayaprakash plays the role of Karthi’s father. The film is about father- son bonding and how a happy youngster due to certain circumstances has to go through a difficult situation.
Dhyanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine is the likely front runner to snap up Naan Mahan Alla, said to be a an entertainer with a difference.

KARTHI’S INDEPENDENCE DAY RELEASE
Its good news for movie buffs waiting for the release of the Karthi starrer Naan Mahaan Alla. The film is almost complete and is expected to be released in August. Given the fact that we celebrate our Independence Day on August 15th the film may be released on that weekend (August 13th).
Karthi’s on screen pair in this film is Kajal Agarwal. Naan Mahaan Alla is directed by Suseendran of the Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu fame. The music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Naan Mahan Alla’ On Full Pace
Karthi’s busy now as he is working vigorously on two continuous projects. Well, his untitled remake of ‘Vikramakudu’ is rolling faster while his other film ‘Naan Mahan Alla’ is on the final schedule now.
‘Naan Mahan Alla’ is produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under the banner name of Studio Green Films. The film started rolling before few months and is now close on the heels of completion. At present, the scenes involving Karthi and other artist are shot across the locales of Pondicherry.
The crew will be returning here on May 28 as director Susindran is getting married on next day morning.
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s musical successes with his previous films have yet more increased everyone’s expectations on this action-packed crime thriller.
