സിബിഐ അന്വേഷണ പരമ്പരയുടെ അഞ്ചാം ഭാഗം വരുന്നുവെന്ന വാർത്തകൾ വരാൻ തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട് വർഷം ഒന്നായി. അടുത്തിടെ ചിത്രത്തെ കുറിച്ച് പുതിയ പ്രഖ്യാപനങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായെങ്കിലും വീണ്ടും ചിത്രം വൈകുമെന്നാണ് പുതിയ റിപ്പോർട്ട്. മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടെ താത്പര്യമില്ലായ്മയാണ് ചിത്രം വൈകാൻ കാരണമെന്നാണ് അണിയറ സംസാരം.
കെ. മധു സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനോടാണ് മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടെ താത്പര്യ കുറവ്. മറ്റൊരു സംവിധായകനെ വച്ച് സിബിഐ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനോടാണ് മമ്മൂട്ടിക്ക് യോജിപ്പ്. കെ മധു നിർമ്മാണവും ഏറ്റെടുക്കട്ടെയെന്നും മമ്മൂട്ടി പറഞ്ഞതായും സൂചനയുണ്ച്. എന്നാൽ, ഇതിനോട് മധുവിന് യോജിപ്പില്ലെന്നും ഇത് മൂലം ചിത്രം വൈകുന്നുവെന്നുമാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട്.


പഴയതലമുറ സംവിധായകനായ മധുവിന് നൂതനമായ രീതിയിൽ ഈ കുറ്റാന്വേഷണ കഥപറയാൻ കഴിയുമെന്ന് മമ്മൂട്ടിക്ക് വിശ്വാസം ഇല്ലാത്തതാണത്രേ കാരണം. കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രമായ സേതുരാമയ്യരെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ മറ്റു താരങ്ങളെ സമീപിക്കാൻ മധുവിന് ഇടക്ക് പദ്ധതിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ മമ്മൂട്ടിയല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരാളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചാൽ ചിത്രം ഫ്ളോപ്പാകുമെന്ന സംശയത്താൽ തീരുമാനം പിൻവലിക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു.
1988ലാണ് മലായളത്തിലെ സൂപ്പർ ഹിറ്റ് സിബിഐ പരമ്പരക്ക് തുടക്കമാകുന്നത്. എസ് എൻ സ്വാമിയുടെ തിരക്കഥയിൽ കെ. മധു സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ഒരു സിബിഐ ഡയറിക്കുറിപ്പായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ ചിത്രം. 1989 ൽ ജാഗ്രതയും 2004 ൽ സേതുരാമയ്യർ സിബിഐയും 2005ൽ നേരറിയാൻ സിബിഐയും പുറത്ത് വന്നു. പുറത്ത് വന്ന നാലു ചിത്രങ്ങൾക്കും വലിയ വിജയം നേടാനും കഴിഞ്ഞു.അഞ്ചാം ഭാഗവും ഏറെ പ്രത്യേകതകളോടെയാണ് എത്തുകയെന്ന് തിരക്കഥാകൃത്ത് എസ്എൻ സ്വാമി പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

Mammootty's highly anticipated sequel to the Sethurama Iyer CBI series will kick off next year with director K Madhu at the helm and SN Swamy once again writing the script.

The fifth film in the series will reportedly see for the first time the sleuth heading out of the State for an investigation. A source close to the production team tells us, "The shooting will be in Ernakulam, Delhi and Hyderabad. Sethurama Iyer had previously investigated cases within the State but this particular crime takes him to other States as well."

The director and scriptwriter had met with the megastar last week for preliminary discussions on the script, the source says. "Mammukka has allotted specific dates as he's got the schedules of Puthenpanam and Shyamdhar's next lined up. The movie is expected to go on floors by the end of February or March," informs the source, adding that this will give the team the required time to modify the script based on the changes suggested by the actor.
Apart from Mammootty, Renji Panicker has also signed up for the movie. On the actress, the source says, "The role of the heroine in the movie is limited, so there won't be any A-list actress as part of the cast. In fact, none of the previous sequels had heroines per se. That's a trend this film will also follow."
