Ghost direction is actually a good thing because K Madhu is an outdated director. So if directors like Srinath Rajendran was brought in to help out that’s a huge positive!

Bro for CBI 5 it is a very good thing that ghost directors were brought on board. Kaaranam K Madhu last cheytha padangal okke oru nillavaram illatha padangal ayirunnu.

If there were ghost directors brought in. This is probably how it happened. They probably got ghost directors on board the film way before shoot began and rotated pivotal filmmakers to help K Madhu as he is out of touch with today’s sensibilities.

This means that the film will retain what K Madhu and SN swami want to achieve but the other directors will deal with bringing out completely a modern interpretation fit for our times. There is no way K Madhu could achieve a film fit for this time otherwise. I’m pretty sure even Mammookka knew that before shoot started.

According to Appachen (producer) in his recent interview he said even Dulquer is involved in decision making for this film. Both Mammookka and Dulquer have strong say on how to get this film made because they know that the biggest challenge will be to get a modern film out of a senior director who has not adapted to the times or even made films in the past decade.

You can tell this change in the teaser itself. The camera angles and approach is entirely different from what K Madhu has done before. Even the opening shot in the teaser and the cuts are a testament to skilled craftsmen behind the screens other than K Madhu working their magic.

If you watch Banking Hours or Rahasya Police you can understand why ikka and kunjikka probably got ghost directors on board for CBI 5. They probably planned this all out way in advance and it wasn’t a recent addition after suddenly realizing K Madhu isn’t a great director for modern films.
