Real Madrid continued their 100% pre-season record on Saturday by wrapping up their tour of China with a 6-0 thumping of Tianjin Teda. Just one week away from their Supercopa de Espana match against arch-rivals Barcelona, Real showed signs that they were ready for the new season by making seven wins from seven pre-season friendlies.
Kaka opened the scoring for Los Blancos from the spot after Angel Di Maria was felled in the box, before the Argentinean winger got on the scoresheet himself to give Real a 2-0 lead at half-time. Di Maria's compatriot Gonzalo Higuain added a third in the 53rd minute, before Cristiano Ronaldo stole some of the limelight with a ferocious left-footed drive that had the Tianjin keeper rooted to the spot. A late brace from the clinical Karim Benzema rounded off things for Real, who have now scored 27 goals in pre-season, yet have only conceded five.
Real however were hit with a blow in the 39th minute when Sergio Ramos, captaining the side on the night, was brought off after looking in discomfort. The club later revealed on their official website that the Spanish international encountered a similar problem during their earlier spell on tour in Los Angeles, and that his participation in Saturday's Supercopa is now far from certain.

Real sign seven-year old named Leo

Real Madrid have attempted to steal a march on arch-rivals Barcelona by signing a seven-year old Argentine named Leo.

Leonel Angel Coira was reported by Argentinian sports daily Ole to be the youngest ever signing by Madrid, although the club denied this. He will begin training with his new side on September 6, although it may be a few years before he's ready for first-team action.

In a move that may not please ardent Real fans, Coira told Ole that his idol was Barcelona striker Lionel Messi and that he preferred to make an assist than to score a goal himself.

Atletico Madrid were rumoured to be interested in the youngster, but Real pounced to complete the deal with his father, who said: ''It looks good when I say it because I'm the father, but I'm excited to see how he plays with the ball.''

Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta declared that Barcelona will be going for the win when they travel to Real Madrid on the first leg of the Spanish Supercopa. Iniesta is looking forward to the upcoming Spanish Supercopa for a good start to get one over rivals Real Madrid. European champions Barcelona lost the first leg of last season's SuperCopa against Sevilla 3-1, but came back to win 5-3 on aggregate.
The Catalan side's preseason has been far from satisfactory with only two wins, over Bayern Munich and Club America. They drew with Hadjuk Split and Internacional before losing to Manchester United and Chivas Guadalajara. In contrast, Real Madrid has been scintillating in their warm up to the season, winning all seven of their matches and drubbing their opponents in style as they trot the globe. Despite the difference in preseason form, Iniesta is positive about coming away from Madrid with a victory and an advantage going into the second leg.
The Spanish international was speaking to EFE, saying: "I hope that this year's Spanish Supercopa won't be like the last edition. We want to put in a good performance in the first leg, so that things are already looking good ahead of the decisive match. We are not thinking about losing at the Bernabeu. We want to win the first leg. We have worked hard to be prepared for this match. We have trained and played quite well. The game is around the corner now and we're keen to do well. We are motivated to win our first trophy of the season and are going there to win."
The first leg of the Spanish SuperCopa will be held at Bernabeu on August 14, and the second leg will be held at Camp Nou on August 17.
