Barca draw first blood in semi-final
Barcelona gained the upper hand in their Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad with a 2-0 victory in Wednesday night's first leg at the Nou Camp.
Sergio Busquets gave the Primera Division champions the lead just before half-time -- moments after Sociedad had had a decent penalty shout turned down when Carlos Vela appeared to be tugged down by Javier Mascherano. Inigo Martinez could not hide his frustration and was dismissed for dissent.
And the 10 men did not help themselves after the interval as Gorka Elustondo blasted an attempted clearance at helpless Sociedad goalkeeper Zubikarai, who inadvertently diverted the ball into his own net.

Referee who dismissed Ronaldo banned for a month
http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/281155.html
The referee who sent off Cristiano Ronaldo last Sunday for Real Madrid against Athletic Bilbao has been banned for a month, according to a Spanish radio station.
Cadena Cope report that Miguel Angel Ayza Gamez has been punished following his performance in the match which ended 1-1 between the sides at San Mames.
The decision from the Spanish League's Refereeing Technical Committee (CTA) to drop Gamez has also seen the referee barred from taking charge of Madrid matches for the rest of the campaign.
Ronaldo was dismissed for raising a hand to Bilbao captain Carlos Gurpegi, while he also confronted Ander Iturraspe.
Ronaldo's appeal against the three-match ban imposed has been rejected, but Madrid are set to take the case still further by petitioning a Spanish government body to get the punishment overturned.
La Liga: Real Madrid go top as Atletico lose
Gareth Bale and Jese each scored and set up goals for Karim Benzema in Real Madrid's 4-2 win over Villarreal on Saturday
With leading scorer Cristiano Ronaldo serving the first match of a three-game suspension, Bale shone by opening the scoring in the seventh minute at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Bale seemed particularly eager to take charge with Ronaldo out and after returning from a leg injury that sidelined him for two matches.
Defender Jose Dorado unwisely tried to dribble around Bale instead of passing to a nearby teammate. The Wales winger pounced on his clumsy touch to steal the ball, press forward unchallenged, and coolly chip helpless goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo.
Bale later crossed for Benzema's first goal in the 25th minute.
After Villarreal's Mario Gaspar struck in the 43rd minute, Jese netted what proved to be Madrid's winner in the 64th minute before Villarreal forward Giovani Dos Santos curled in a free kick in the 69th.
The 20-year-old Jese passed for Benzema to get his second goal in the 76th minute.
Real Madrid will spend the night in first place on goal difference after Atletico Madrid's surprising 2-0 loss at Almeria.
Jose Antonio Verza curled in a stunning goal that was most likely meant to be a 10 minutes from time after Almeria's stubborn defensive display had driven Atletico to frustration.
Things got worse five minutes later when goalkeeper Daniel Aranzubia blundered in a big way, fluffing a back-pass and then fouling Jonathan Zongo to concede a penalty and earn a red card.
Verza converted the penalty to seal Almeria's win.
Victory for Barcelona at Sevilla would send Gerardo Martino's men back to the top of the league on goal difference and leave all three title contenders on 57 points.

Barcelona (4-3-3): Valdes; Montoya, Pique, Bartra, Adriano; Song, Xavi, Iniesta; Alexis, Messi, Pedro.
..and Barca trailing 1-0 ..could easily been 2-0 ...
