Why Chitrangada quit ‘Krissh 3’?

Chitrangada Singh (Agencies Photo). Why was Chitrangada Singh suddenly replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez in the mutant’s role in ‘Krissh 3’? Though both the parties ascribe a problem of dates, there is more to this parting of ways than what meets the eye.“I can only say there were date issues...I tried to sort it out. Couldn’t manage,” Chitrangada says.Rakesh Roshan says: “Actually I was to start the film in October and had taken the dates accordingly. But now I’ve shifted the film to December. Chitrangada tried her best to give us dates in December-January. But I think she has some family commitments. So she couldn’t accommodate us. I had to opt for another actor.”But a source says that apparently Chitrangada was not comfortable with some of the requirements for the role. “Initially Chitrangda was most excited about the mutant’s role. She had begun to read up as much as possible on the subject and had even begun physical preparation. The clothes, makeup, body language and speech quality were all discussed. Chitrangda had even begun to train in martial arts and had taken off to the US to try accelerated free-fall skydiving,’ says the source.According to the source, it was certain scenes showing the mutant’s transformation that made Chitrangda uncomfortable. “Though the mutant’s role is stupendous it does require the actress to get down to an elemental level of self-revelation. That’s where the problem came in.”Jacqueline, who recently redefined on-screen un-inhibition for ‘Murder 2’, has happily stepped into the mutant’s part.

I didn’t want to do Agneepath: Hrithik

In a recent interview with Priety Zinta on her talk show, actor Hrithik Roshan revealed that he didn’t want to do Agneepath initially, as he found actor Amitabh Bachchan’s role in the original film to be too overwhelming to fit into. “It was one film I was hell bent on not doing. When


Karan (Johar) called, I had completely refused, but he insisted on sending director Karan Malhotra for a script reading with me. Just before the meeting, I was feeling bad because I thought I would be wasting his time by refusing the film at end of it. Given the fact that Mr Bachchan’s aura is so magnificent and hard to ignore, Karan transformed me into another world altogether during the script reading. And that’s how the film happened!” the 37-year-old actor told Zinta.
Hrithik’s contemporary take on Big B’s Vijay Dinanath Chauhan character has till now got positive reviews from people who have watched the trailer of Agneepath. Speaking of good reviews, the actor’s last release, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, has scored well at the box office. But Hrithik was initially not confident about taking up this movie as well, and it was only his wife Suzanne Roshan who convinced him to accept the offer.

“When Zoya (Akhtar) called me for the narration, she kept a condition to have Suzanne along in the meeting. I loved the script but wasn’t too sure. It was Suzanne who convinced me to take up the role,” Roshan told Zinta.

The actor is also gearing up for the highly anticipated sequel of his film Kkrish, in which he plays a superhero. But as Zinta got to know on the soon-to-be-aired episode of her talk show, Up Close and Personal with PZ on UTV Stars, Roshan’s also a superhero to his kids, Hrehaan and Hridhaan.

“Whenever I come back home and enter their room, all I have to do is jump on the bed, and then, we are all superheroes. But since there are also superheroes, they are allowed to punch me as much as they like,” said Hrithik.

Hrithik high on TRPS




Hrithik Roshan has many reasons to smile, ZNMD got him critical acclaim and box office results.
Agneepath trailor has created huge excitement all across. Also his TV debut show Just Dance is high on TRPS. According to the channel, Star Plus, the show Just Dance is doing very well (as per TAM, the season average has been 3.1TVR). In fact the episodes Hrithik appeared on rated way higher than 3.4. His popularity as a host is evident in the TAM ratings.
The finale of the show is on October 1. Hrithik's show will not be replaced by Survivor India as reported
