Samsung to launch budget 4G phones
"The landscape we see is TDD LTE on 2300 MHz band, 3G on 2100 MHz and 900 MHz bands and FDD LTE on 1800 MHz band. Now that we know this will happen, we can start looking at road maps that take this into account," Vineet Taneja, Samsung India's IT and mobiles division head, told ET Thursday. "Before the operators are ready, we will be ready with the road map and products for the market," he said.
Mobile phone companies including Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio Infocomm, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular bought airwaves in the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands in a government auction in February, after which the latter two indicated their plans to launch LTE services on the 1800 MHz bands.

This is global iphone sales since launch... You can see notably every Q1 the surge in sales and from Q1 2011, ita been huge increase in sale and as year progress(you take any company's quartlery sale grapgh will show decline from initial sales - same like cinema boxoffice initial), but apple was all time high in Q1 2014 after iPhone 5s and 5c releases and Q2 showing down in sales/shipping. So these drop in sales is as expected as every year stats shows, but Apple hasnt reported Drop in income- because to have drop in income sales should go down below the sales of previous year ( in same quarter if quarter comparison + other factors)- Drop is just drop from highest sale point in that year. So iPhone 6 release later this year could see surpassing 51.03million by huge number if goes as expected, particulary 4.7 and 5.5 inch iPhones debuting. Another point to consider is apple is selling 4, 4s, 5, 5s and 5c - just 5 devices.
Now Samsung - Samsung Mobile reported profits of 6.43 trillion won ($6.2 billion), down 1.2 percent from a 6.51 trillion won profit a year earlier. For the same quarter, Apple reported twice as much operating income, $13.6 billion, an increase of 8.24 percent over the year ago quarter.( Report on 28th April). This includes overall mobile and tablet sales for both companies. Samsung's inlcudes all its low end and high end phones and tablets..
