Research In Motion (RIM) has announced their new festive offer. Now you get the BlackBerry Curve 8520 free on purchase of BlackBerry PlayBookin India. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 costs around Rs. 10,000 . The BlackBerry Playbook was launched in India this June and it comes in 16 GB, 32GB and 64GB variants.
The offer is valid from October 18, 2011 to November 30, 2011 and it is available across all variants (16GB for Rs. 27,990, 32GB for Rs. 32,990 and 64GB for Rs. 37,990) of the BlackBerry PlayBook at all BlackBerry retail outlets across the country.

Sony Ericsson has officially launched the XPERIA Neo V and Xperia Pro in India today adding a couple of handsets to its XPERIA range of Android phones.Sony Ericsson has partnered with Bharti Airtel to offer 500 MB of free 3G usage per month for 3 months for customers purchasing this handset. Both these phones run on the Android Gingerbread operating system.
XPERIA neo V features a 3.7 inch Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine, HDMI out along with 3D Sweep panorama, a front facing camera and a 5 MP rear facing camera. It is powered by a 1GHZ Snapdragon CPU and a Adreno 205 GPU along with 512 MB of RAM.
The Xperia Pro is a QWERTY slider device which we actually saw at MWc 2011 earlier this year. . It features a 3.7 inch touchscreen display and full slideout QWERTY keypad. It packs a 8.1 MP camera on the back.
Sony Ericsson also announced its FingerTALK campaign in the country.
Regarding the pricing , the Xperia Neo V is already available in stores for around Rs.17500. The Xperia Pro is expected to be available in stores for Rs.24000 approximately.

Motorola just unveiled the Droid Razr at a press conference in New York. The LTE enabled smartphone is being touted as the thinnest smartphone in the world. At 7.1 mm thickness it is actually about 1.5mm slimmer than the previous champion ie the Samsung Galaxy S2. The phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz Dual Core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
Motorola claims that the Droid RAZR supports 12.5 hours of talktime and 8.5 hours of video playback time. The display being used is a 4.3″ Super AMOLED panel along with Gorilla Glass foradded protection. The body of the phone is made of Kevlar ie the material used to make bulletproof jackets.
The smartphone runs Android 2.3.5 which is the latest version available right now. HDMI output is also available in the device to make use of the Full HDvideo captured by the camera.

Android phones have very poor battery life..
