Arab pressure forces Priyan to change title

Tremendous pressure from NRI’s in the gulf and fearing an Arab backlash, Priyadarshan has changed the title of his new Mohanlal film!

Priyadarshan was reuniting with his favourite hero Mohanlal after seven years with Arabiyum Ottakavum P.Madhavan Nairum (The Arab, Camel & P Madhavan Nair).

Now this catchy title has been changed to Oru Marubhoomi Kadha (A desert story).

Arabiyum Ottakavum P.Madhavan Nairum had tremendous title value and was said to be a “rip-roaring comedy action thriller” with Mohanlal, Mukesh,Bhavana and Lakshmi Rai in the lead. The film has music by Priyan’s close buddy MG Sreekumar with Azhagappan as the cameraman.

The movie has been produced by Ashok Kumar, Jamal Al Nuaimi and Naveen Shashidharan under the banner Jancos Entertainment. Seven Arts GP Vijayakumar will distribute the film scheduled to release on November 4, as Bakrid special.

Oru Marubhumi Kadha Malayalam Film

The Mohanlal Priyadarshan movie “Arabiyum Ottakavum P.Madhavan Nayarum” has been renamed as “Oru Marubhumi Kadha” as per latest reports.The shooting of the film has completed almost fifty percent.The report says that the older title meant like insulting Arabs and so there were some protests against the title.This has made the makers to rename the film.The new name has not yet been offically announced to the media by the film crew.
Mohanlal plays the lead role of Madhavan Nair in the movie along with Mukhesh,Bhavana and Lakshmi Rai.The first schedule of the film was completed in Abudhabi. The film is expected to hit the cinemas on Noveber 4 of this year..
