Balyakalasakhi Uncut Version To Screen Soon?

Megastar Mammootty’s much awaited Balyakalasakhi, which opened to positive reports has done a decent weekend business. Although the reports were favourable, many felt that the last minute trimming could have been avoided. When the certificate showed around just above 120 minutes, the movie was done at around 105 minutes. The cuts were clearly visible as the editing wasn’t proper.

The makers have early said that they had trimmed few scenes so as to present a more engaging product to the audience and there is an Academic version with exact duration of 121 minutes which they will be presenting for Awards and other film festivals.

But now things look like that they are on with a plan to release the original un-cut version soon due to the public demand. Lets watch out for that…

Jagathi top 5 actors ine thiranjeduthu.. Not surprisingly no Mammootty.
Thilakan top 5 thiranjeduthu.. Not surprisingly no Mammootty.
Many other personalities have always described Mammooty as an actor of too many limitations.

At the same time, I haven't seen a single opinion from any person who have not put m'Lal in their top 2.
I can write paragraphs abt m'Lal limitations but still none has ever commented in that manner.

Sometimes we r too keen while watching a movie. Instead of letting the movie engulf us, we r too conscious looking into details and trying to find those loose moments that need to be criticized. In such situations Our sub conscious mind will be extremely happy to find faults.
And this can particularly happen wen we watch a movie of an actor that we r not very fond of and it is in for some
critically acclaim.

I have watched ANT and if hose scenes have been touching to u, while the scenes in bks hve failed to impress u, it can mean 2 things.. director has failed and actor has failed. So the movie has to be really really bad.

When does an actor really fail? I consider a failure of an actor when he cannot do justice to what he has been given space to do. In this case, you cannot place any blame on Mammootty. You are sort of thinking from the perspective of the book where Majeed has a lot of moments. Watch the film. Thats all I can say.

Assuming you saw Ayaalum Njaanum Thammil and at least found it likeable. Ippo immediate aayi manasil varunna padam ithaanu.

Enikku valare feel aaya moonnu situations undu.

1. Tharakan coming out of the operation theatre and the looking silently at the girl's mother.
2. Tharakan sitting inside the car helplessly after the cops don't let him go.
3. The scene where he asks for forgiveness to the young girl.

Your comments about the direction,i am not in a position to counter argue until i see the movie...The posts like this is not what i consider downriding..Thats what i intended to say..

From the very first instance,Basheerian world is not a filmy one for me..Its the power of his writing that makes it extraordinary..Even Adoor failed to provide what Mathilukal as a long story cherishes..Some great works cannot be translated in to another medium/language and i always believed it to be case of basheer..What does pathummayude aadu will be having when it becomes a film?Balyakalasakhi is no exception.....Pramod had the courage to take that challenge,and,I appreciate him for that.Hope i could see the movie soon and still be at his side to defend:)I will continue to oppose all those who are trying to sum up his effort as just 'crap'.
