Your comments about the direction,i am not in a position to counter argue until i see the movie...The posts like this is not what i consider downriding..Thats what i intended to say..

From the very first instance,Basheerian world is not a filmy one for me..Its the power of his writing that makes it extraordinary..Even Adoor failed to provide what Mathilukal as a long story cherishes..Some great works cannot be translated in to another medium/language and i always believed it to be case of basheer..What does pathummayude aadu will be having when it becomes a film?Balyakalasakhi is no exception.....Pramod had the courage to take that challenge,and,I appreciate him for that.Hope i could see the movie soon and still be at his side to defend:)I will continue to oppose all those who are trying to sum up his effort as just 'crap'.

Premalekhanam movie kandittundo? Soman as Kesavan Nair, Swapna as Saramma, directed by P A Backer.
The movie has the simplicity of Basheerian works, maybe a bit too simple to be noticed by critics. Never seen any discussion on this.

Did anyone say its crap? I dont think so. BKS story thread itself guarantees the film from such a fate. Its perfectly fine to take up such a challenge. As you said, its very difficult to recreate that magic on screen. But when you take up such a challenge, you have to be prepared to face the criticism. I will continue to say that a person with a lot more experience with the medium would have been able to do a far better job. As of now it seeems like he was given 2 hours and asked to fill BKS in a dramatic fashion and further told to trim down.

Yes ,many of the Average reviewers have that tone.In the end here in this forum things like this are happening due to fan ship and its a fact!!!I disagree with you but still respect your opinion as i feel that you are raising some points atleast appears valid from ur viewpoint..Good..!
