Balyakalasakhi – A classic reincarnation !

It was a arduous task for a debut Director to visualize a indelible novel like Balyakalasakhi to the silver screen. Let us take this time out to appreciate the high risk effort which Director Pramod Payyanur showed to make it happen. Balyakalassahki is a master piece novel of Legendary novelist Vaikkom Mohammad Basheer which portrays a romantic tragedy love story of Majeed and Suhra.

In the movie Balyakalasakhi, Mega Star Mammootty plays the challenging roles of protagonist Majeed and his father. We have to appreciate once again for director’s effort as he has chosen Kolkkatta as the location of the movie where he could display the beauty of Kerala backdrops.

It was a tremendous effort from his end since he succeeded to visualize even better than the novel narrates. The story of the novel has been screenplayed in a different style where it can be enjoyable for all kind of audience,even those who did not read the novel.

When Mammootty gives the life for the character Majeed, he is really showing his honor to the Legendary writer Basheer , since it was once of his favorite character he has ever penned. And the next thing which has to be said is nothing but the work of art director since has done an excellent job to bring back the pre-independent Kolkkatta and Majeed’s village. It was really an impeccable work done by art director.

While mamootty was living out as Majeed and his father, Isha Talwar and Meena have done a brilliant performance as Suhra and Majeed’s mother. Co-stars Seema Biswas,Tanusree Ghosh, Mamukoya,,Sunil Sugada,Kavitha Nair and Shari were also giving life to their roles from the novel in an excellent way. Camera man Hari Nair proved that he cannot be replaced in the industry Manoj Kannoth was proving himself as a perfect editor.

The film Balyakalasakhi , is blessed with the final touch of Raghavan Master and it happened to be the most beautiful song which we ever heard. At the end, this movie was a perfect visualization of a legendary novel which nobody can forget in the recent future and a real triumph…!!!!
