    okay.

bought a bsnl datacard from ernakulam. they don't sell datacards of 3.6 or 7.2 at present. only 14.4 Mbps datacard (made by HUAWEI) for Rs. 2625 are being sold by BSNL at present.

So, I bought a Huawei Datacard (7.2 Mbps) from a private shop. Model E303C. Rs. 1900.

I hope this information will be useful for those who aren't aware of BSNL 3G datacard informations.

Also, BSNL do NOT have ANY unlimited 3G plans. Neither in prepaid nor in postpaid.

The prepaid plans are a bit costly.

By the way, someone please clarify about the theoritcal speed of BSNL 3G? Isn't it 3.6 Mbps , meaning a theoritical download speed of about 450 KBPS?

Or will we get higher speeds?

What about the 3G speeds of other networks like Idea, Tata Photon, Reliance NetConnect, etc.? Higher? Lower? Same?

And what's the theoritical speed of EDGE and 2G?

These are very significant informations that everyone will be needing and can avoid a lot of unnecessary confusions/

    @ Sprint.

Granted, BSNL have their own Data Cards.

But it is unavailable in Ernakulam, the biggest city in Kerala.

Regarding the unlimited 3G plan, I was told by BSNL staff itself that there is NO unlimited plans for BSNL 3G in the prepaid section. For post-paid, they may have.
