Telugu star Srikanth debuts in Malayalam

Popular Telugu hero Srikanth enters Malayalam film industry with director Diphan's upcoming film Hero, starring Prithviraj. Notably, Srikanth has already worked with Prithviraj in a Telugu film Police Police. He will start shooting for Hero in January.
Talking about Mollywood, Srikanth said that he has a dream to work with Mohanlal whom he called "the ambassador of the Malayalam film industry." Srikanth has high regard for Mammootty as well and said that Mammootty's acting skills are unparalleled.
"Malayalam film industry is multi-talented but it needs to expand its horizons. Films like Pazhassi Raja and Urumi have brought Malayalam cinema out of its conservative mould. Mollywood is open to actors from other film industries, which is essential for building up a healthy relationship," he further said.

Case against Vidya Balan

Police registered a FIR against actress Vidya Balan, following a complaint by a Hyderabad based advocate, who alleged that she had posed for indecent photographs on the posters and promos of The Dirty Picture.
The complainant, Sai Krishna Azad, had last month approached the Nampally court and filed a petition, alleging that the posters and promos of the film were "obscene" and were "causing inconvenience to women" in the Nallakunta area and other parts of Hyderabad. The petitioner further alleged that the posters and hoardings were "spoiling the minds of the people and causing harm to the society".
The court directed the Nallakunta Police to investigate on the complaint and file a status report before it. Following a court directive, a case was booked against Vidya Balan, Nallakunta Inspector of Police M. Suman Kumar said.
