Ajith's Arrambam thrills the music trade

Its been 4 days since the music release of Ajith's Arrambam and we got in touch with the music trade to check out the response to the music and the sales stats. Ashok Parwani, General Manager at Sony Music, the rights holder, spoke to Behindwoods
about the same
"It is one of the best albums of the year and we are very
satisfied with the response. The album is still on top of the
iTunes chart. Yuvan has given us two great albums this
year with Biriyani and Arrambam, and both of them have
done very well from a sales perspective. Arrambam's CDs
were made available in all the big shops in the city on 19th
itself and the sales has been great. Other parts of the state
received the CDs a day later in order to curb piracy and we
plan to continue this distribution practice for all our future
releases as well"
When we got in touch with some of the big music shops in
the city, they said that as soon as the CDs reached their
store on 19th evening, 90% of the volume got sold out at
once and by Friday all the CDs disappeared off the
shelves. The second batch of Arrambam CDs will reach
these stores today (23rd September) and the demand is
expected to continue.

Arrambam trailer crosses millions
The trailer of Ajith's upcoming film has clocked more
than a million hits. The trailer was launched on the
midnight of September 19 and the video is creating
waves on the internet. The film is all set for a grand
release around Diwali. The Tamil film fraternity seems
to have loved the trailer's slick and racy presentation
and have posted about on the same on their micro-
blogging sites. The film is directed by
Vishnuvardhan.The star cast of the film comprises Arya,
Nayanthara and Taapsee Pannu.
The trailers of Suriya's Singam 2 , Vijay's Thalaivaa and
Superstar Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan were also viral
hits.

With a confirmed Diwali release and a trailer to make you
go nuts, Ajith will be the man on spotlight come this
Diwali. His Aarambam is already doing business way before
its release, with the distribution rights up for grabs in a
sizable monetary jiggle.
Directed by Vishnuvardhan, the team of Billa might pull this
off even bigger, but will have to wait for the release.
Basking on the success of Yuvan's songs, the movie has
already made brisk selling in west and south regions, also
making progress in Coimbatore, Madurai, Tirunelveli and its
surrounding. This might even propel the price to be higher
in the left out regions.
Spearheaded by Thala Ajith, the movie also has Arya,
Nayan, Rana Daggubati and Kishore in pivotal roles.

Arrambam trailer creates new record
Ajith starrer Arrambam is getting ready for a grand Diwali release and the film’s trailer has reached the movie buffs in a very big way.
There is no iota of doubt that Ajith is the Emperor of Box Office
and this reason is enough for the movie buffs to
get a peek into the trailer as a prelude.
The trailer was released on the net when the
clock struck 12 on the 19th of September and
ever since then, fans have been eager to catch a
glimpse of it on YouTube. Over a million have
watched the Arrambam trailer and the count is
increasing with each hour passing by as we see!
As of now, the trailer has crossed 1.3 million
views and it has also got more than 18000 likes.
