Dulquer Salmaan to play the lead in next Aashiq Abu flick !
Mollywood’s one of the most popular young generation director Aashiq Abu told that his next film will be with young star Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. Earlier there was reports that Soubin Shahir, the latest comedy sensation in Mollywood will play the lead in next Aashiq Abu directorial film. But now Aashiq Abu himself reveals in a media interview that Dulquer Salmaan will be hero of his next film. He does not revealed much details about the film and not told when it will start as well. But made clear about his plans.
Aashiq Abu’s last directorial venture was Rani Padmini which had Manju Warrier and his own wife Rima Kallingal played the lead role. It was a critically acclaimed film but was not a commercial success. Before that he had made a film named Gangster with Mammootty in the lead, which he also produced as well. It was one of the biggest disasters in Mollywood and in Mammootty’s career as well.
So as a director he did now have a success in recent times. But as a producer he tasted success this year. Aashiq Abu was the producer of the latest Fahad Fazil starrer film named Maheshinte Prathikaram which is one of the super hits of this year and the film is running in packed houses now. This Dileesh Pothen directorial film is going great at box office and on the way to a mega success as well.
Aashiq Abu said that his dream project is a film which tells the complete history of communist front in Kerala. Even though he did not have a clear idea about the project now, it is in fact the dream project of him. Dulquer Salmaan on the other hand had a lot of projects coming. He had completed Sameer Thahir film Kali and now completing Rajeev Ravi film Kammattipadam. He will have an Amal Neerad film, then he will do the film directed by Pratap Pothen titled as Love in Anjengo.
As per reports he will have films with Sathyan Anthikkadu, Anoop Sathyan Anthikkadu etc as well.
