Tbh.. OYPK was just a half baked attempt he did in between Zoya Factor. That’s why it was just a rushed bad movie.

I’m hoping this time they give him like a proper Naadan role. He was good in Kammatti paadam.. plus everyone thought Fahadh would be bad in roles like that especially because he was only doing NRI or techie type roles up until then.. DQ is talented enough to convincingly perform a Naadan role in my opinion. We just haven’t gotten a film that is good and is grounded.

He has said that from now on he will not try to finish the films fast. He said that is the reason why he is turning a producer so that he can take his time and the budget.

The time and effort has been reflected in 'Kurup.

And in the present situation its better not to make a film which you called 'grounded'. We had enough of back to back bombs in June. Now we need mass entertainers, slapstick movies.

Grounded content based films rest in peace.... We need more films which can be marketed outside Kerala like kurup. Probably King of Kotha will be one of them

A grounded Naadan film could still be an entertainer. Depends on how you go about it. Like for example recent ones Nna thaan case kodu and Kaduva.. both have their heroes dressed in Naadan attire in a Naadan somewhat grounded setting..

Kaduva I agree is an entertainer. Naa than case kodu is not yet released. So its early to say. And Kaduva was a hit only in Malayalam

DQ being a pan indian actor we need more pan indian films with him. So if he does naadan films then he will also end up like Jayasurya or Tovino.....

Every other industries are marching ahead with mass films . We also have to. We cannot stick to outdated preachy Sathyan Anthikad type films which we cannot even sit through OTT viewing.

Kerala type entertainers should come. But let such movies be done by actors like Asif Ali, Unni Mukundan , jayasurya Sunny Wayne etc.... Our front line actors like DQ, PR should think of mass entertainers beyond Kerala.

Yes bt KOK Sep start akum so athinu munpu oru cheriya padam cheythu irakkan ayirunnu plan bcoz of othiram kadakam not materialised now it will be a big movie too so he gave an open date for soubin
