Yograj Bhat is as popular as a lyricist as he is as a director in Kannada. For his new Hindi film produced by B Suresha, Bhat is writing two songs apart from directing the film. One of the song has already been recorded under V Harikrishna's composition.
The song, 'Sound baDaa de, dehri yeh duniya,' was recorded recently. Harikrishna has composed tunes for another song and the lyrics are yet to be written for it. Bhat's Hindi is good as he got a parallel degree in Hindi during his college days. He completed his pratama, madyama and pandita Hindi exams for which the central government spends hundreds of crores each year to promote the language among non-Hindi Indians.

Comic characters are big in Hollywood, where almost every popular movie franchise is based on a comic series. While these days in India too actors are being developed as comic characters, it was Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji's Hum Tum that started the trend with comic stripes of the film's characters in the Times Of India. While this has become a norm in Bollywood, namma Sandalwood isn't far behind. Recently, on Vishnuvardhan's death anniversary, his son-in-law Anirudh launched a comic series starring the late actor as Detective Sahasimha.
Vishnuvardhan was fondly called the 'Phoenix of Indian Cinema'. Since the phoenix rises from the ashes, Anirudh wanted to do show his late father-in-law in the same spirit. With children as the target audience, Vishnuvardhan, as Detective Sahasimha, solves mysteries with the help of his grandchildren.
"Vishnuvardhan has done over 200 films and we wanted his legacy to live on in the form of a comic character. We chose the role of a detective as such characters are a hit with youngsters. My sons Jyesta and Shloka are a part of the series and they help the detective solve mysteries. The series will focus more on social issues so that the children reading it will get inspired to help those in need. The morals that Vishnuvardhan communicated through his films and followed in his own life will be highlighted in the series. The comic will be entertaining and educational," says Anirudh, who adds that Vishnuvardhan's wife, Bharathi, will play herself in the series.
