Six bookies were held in Tamil Nadu on Friday in connection with another IPL betting racket and one each picked up in Mumbai and Delhi. 11 bookies were arrested earlier along with cricketers Sreesanth, Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandila.

Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League authorities have contacted all nine of its franchises and instructed them to speak to their players and reinforce the Code of Conduct, IPL sources told CNN-IBN this morning.

The franchises have been asked to remind all the players that they have to abide by the Code of Conduct to prevent any unwanted incident from happening. The directive has come after three Rajasthan Royals‘ players – Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan – were arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday with evidence of spot-fixing against them.

The Delhi Police will conduct more raids today in connection with the IPL spot-fixing scandal. Raids will be carried out in five cities— Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and the national capital — to track the money trail.

The role of more players whose names cropped up during interrogation of the arrested cricketers and bookies in the IPL spot-fixing scandal could be probed, police had said.

Delhi Police is also likely to probe some more IPL matches in the current season even as Sreesanth, Chavan and Chandila along with 11 other arrested bookies were subjected to interrogation by its Special Cell.A snatch of a phone conversation between Chandila and a bookie has widened the range of the probe to last season’s IPL.

Police sources claim that Sreesanth and Chavan were offered Rs 40 lakh and Rs 60 lakh respectively, and so far no cash has been recovered. Sources say that the money could have been routed through hawala channels, which brings the involvement of the Mumbai underworld under the scanner.

Even though Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan have confessed to spot-fixing in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League during their interrogation, media reports said that the trio are likely to be grilled again today by N Srivastava, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police. The three cricketers will face each other for the first time since their arrest and will be confronted with the audio recordings.

Dravid, Shilpa, Kundra won’t be questioned, say cops

The Delhi police have said that Rahul Dravid, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra will not be questioned on the spot fixing issue.

The Delhi Police said it has no reasons to interrogate cricketer Rahul Dravid or Rajasthan Royals owners Kundra and Shetty in connection with the spot-fixing case, reported IBN-Live.
