Good review ...becoming more and more professional ....keep up the good work .
The harsh truth that ambition and scale may not always seal the deal in the case of a feature film, holds exactly true for Tiyaan, an overlong, amateurish attempt to make a movie with a Pan Indian appeal. The film wears a fresh look , courtesy its stunning locations that are expertly captured by Sateesh Kurup, (his photography is the biggest strength of the film) and the first hour, despite being languidly paced is extremely watchable.
But the film completely goes haywire in its chaotic third act, where writer unsuccessfully tampers with a tried and tested formula. Add to that , the actors are given philosophical lectures in place of actual dialogue and Gopi Sundars BGM for Bhagwan is so terribly overused , it starts giving you a head ache.
The aforementioned definitely had potential, the mystery surrounding Aslans character and his intervention in the tussle between the characters of Paatabhiraman and Bhagwan do keep you intrigued. Ravi Singh impresses in the role of a chief henchman, so does Ananya in a brief role. While Prithviraj has an interesting screen presence, Indrajith is extremely one-note, never letting you invest in his plight, also due to the problematic screenplay. Murali Gopi too is underwhelming in the role of antagonist, the actors inherent inhibition affects his portrayal.
Tiyaan is also stuffed with scenes that expose the writers political bias which could rake up some stirring debates. It is unfortunate but Glorious Mess is the only befitting term to describe the film, that tries way too hard with very little results.

There is a scene in movie where a dalit boy bows before a hindu brahmin...it might have been done for a dramatic effect but they forgot about its consequences...and it is not the first time he has been guilty of such errors ...and his forthcoming film is with Mohanlal..
