Bhaskar The Rascal Review
Written and directed by Siddique; Bhaskar The Rascal, the much awaited one from Mammootty started its journey with all positive openings from the audience.
More than just a laugh riot, the movie provides a full time entertainment; ensuring the trust in Mammootty – Siddique combination; as the duo are joining after delivering ever time hits Hitler and Chronic Bachelor.
As the name suggests, the movie is all about the journey through the life of Bhaskar, enacted by Mammootty. Bhaskar (Mammootty) is a businessman living along with his son Aadi (Sanoop Santhosh); passing through some problems, including the family issues as they consider him as a Rascal (thug).
Being the member of a reputed family and son of businessman Shankara Narayanan (Janardhanan), he is much impatient and sometimes short tempered.
The film follows his life, as winds of changes arise by the entrance of Hima (Nayanthara) into their life, along with her daughter Shivani, portrayed by Baby Anikha.
Mammootty, the backbone of the film; as usual delivered the perfect pace; proving that comedy genres with heroism characters well suits the actor. The role of Bhaskar is perfectly shaped by him, not sliding away for a single moment.
Nayanthara on the other hand stand along side with the Megastar, providing a mature as well as challenging character in a pretty well manner. The actress has done a praiseworthy thing to act as the mother of a grown child; which many other actresses may hesitate to do.
Sanoop Santhosh and Baby Anikha also remains as a positive factor to the film; delivering the feeling that the cast is so handpicked; for suiting the script. JD Chakravarthy, who portrayed the husband role to Nayanthara; has done an excellent performance throughout the movie.
Performances from the known actors including Janardhanan, Harisree Asokan, Saju Navodaya, Chali Pala, Kalabhavan Shajon, Guinness Pakru, etc were also good.
Siddique, once again proved to be the right man to call as the hitmaker; giving a perfectly executed comedy flick which ensures all time entertainment to the audience.
His brilliance in extracting an actor in perfect manner provides Bhaskar The Rascal as a festive film; which suits all type of film lovers; especially family audiences.
In short, Bhaskar The Rascal, produced by Anto Joseph under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company, stands as a entertainment mode film; included with heroic scenes of the Megastar; ensuring a watchable one for all film lovers.
